Cannot set resolution MLV Canon 5D mk 2

Starting out with MLV raw today... Followed the basic setting instructions here http://www.magiclantern.fm/forum/index.php?topic=11205.0. However I cannot change the video resolution. I can access the MLV raw video menu and various resolutions are listed, but I cannot select one. Default is 1920 but the setting stays at N/A. I can change the aspect ratio with the wheel on the back, but this too stays at N/A.

I think the same issue was posted here http://www.magiclantern.fm/forum/index.php?topic=14329.0 but no answer was provided.

Found the answer: "the trick" is to be in live-view mode!
