Completely Lost
« on: April 22, 2016, 05:11:19 AM »
I'm not a forum person! But I wanted to upgrade my Mark3 with 1.1.3 firmware to Magic Lantern. I am trying to navigate on this forum but getting lost on where to download the firmware.
Plus I have few questions how is the battery life using ML and do you keep the SD card with ML in the camera at all time or once ML is installed you can remove the SD Card and record ur vdo in CF card.
Second after installation of ML does it perform better in Low Light cause if I use 24 - 70 F2.8 and go over 600 ISO I see noise in the footage. Does ML helps in the Noise reduction if I crank up the ISO to 1200 with low light (I mostly shoot wedding) just to give you an idea about lighting.  Please Please direct me to some links where I can get these answer. Thank you in advance. RK

Run ML from SD cards and leave it in there, at least I would unless there's a new update from nightlies.

Yes, record to your CF cards and be sure to set them into exFAT and enabled 'exFAT < 4GB' within ML settings.

Re: Noise ISO is afaik the same as if with or without ML unless you want to shoot them in Dual-ISO.
