Raw to dng processing for Resolve
« on: January 02, 2016, 03:16:18 AM »
Hi Guys, new here.
I have some problems converting raw files into proper cdng files.
I have no previews in resolve if the sequences are in their own folder, except when i convert using RawMagic for MAC.
Any other conversion tool dont seem to create these previews in resolve. I tried raw2cdng and it works if i tag a "C0000" at the end of each folder.

Is there any way to resolve this?

It seems resolve choosy regarding sequence naming. Try [D][T2]_ mask with raw2cdng - this works for me (under windows).

Doesnt work here im afraid, im on windows aswell.
i replaced the [F] with [D][T2]_ as you said.
I seem to get a random arrangement of numbers as foldername.

Again if i tag C0000 at the end, it seems to work, weird.

EDIT
Im not sure why i didnt think of it, but writing [F]_C0000 in output settings fixes it. as it just tags the C0000 at the end of every file automatically.

Code: [Select]
(a) [F]_C0000will create very long digits as framenumbers, and fi premiere wont work with them.
Code: [Select]
(b) [F]_C0000(_)underline on the end in parentheses will do a much more pleasing result..
Code: [Select]
Example:
(a) M29-1212_C0000000123.dng
(b) M29-1212_C0000_000123.dng

@zynthgg

I edit with Resolve around 12 TB of footage. I can see all my clips.
I use Mlv Mystic or MLVFS... no problem with preview, audio.

Don't use MLViewer if you goint to create Compound Clip. Unexpectly Quit when you tried to delte the files or save.
