I'm new to ML.

I searched the Forums for "usb audio".

Wireless microphone (or mixer) camera-end receiver outs, especially digital radio systems, provide 2 channel digital audio in over USB.

Suggest 16bit 48kHZ sampling linear format, input responsible for level and limiting.

Perhaps it could be funded by a specific HW maker to start.

Stereo to start, but most receivers are mono, so a USB hub is needed. In the future could add level display, monitoring output, level controls, even compression & limiting.

Pro, con, concerns, tech feasibility?

AFAIK, Canon cameras can only act as a USB slaves, not USB masters; does not seem possible to me (but I would be glad to be proven wrong).
