Is there any way to record 4:3 video in 1440x1080 resolution at 50 or 60 fps with ML without the use of RAW video?

AFAIK (haven't tested it) cam's limit is about 1080p38 recording H.264.

So how exacly did they do this?

this is filmed with a 5d+canon 8-15mm...

Asking them may help solving the riddle.

Ziggys91

yeah, already did but they wont respond  ???

You can get 50/60 fps recording via HDMI. Interlaced, though.

Yeah I know, but there is no way that these guys used a HDMI recorder, Could it be that they filmed in 720p60, cropped and upscaled the footage?

Where does it say this ?
I would say there used a GroPro(maybe 4k one) + dslr , the only acknowledgement was for Super 8 Film footage.
FYI the 5D2 exports out the HDMI @ 1650X1080 close to (4:3) 60i 8bit 4:2:2 uncompressed and I have
done "Cross Conversion" with my AJA Kona Lhi Capture Card to 720 60p from 1080 60i
