So when I go to the menu, on the LCD of my 70D, it only stays on for a few seconds making it really hard to read the options. As long as you are scrolling about it will stay on forever. But if you stop and try and read the help notes, or the different settings within a feature, it shuts off within a few seconds. Can this time out be changed?

Sorry this is normal and currently cannot be changed atm.

Same as on the 6d, although if you're not in video mode and liveview is off (aka photo mode )
Then the menu stays, so for easy ml menu exploring, turn liveview off
