[SOLVED] EOS 50D: ERR 02, formatting the card?

I tried to upload the contents of my Lexar CF card from the camera to computer. I got Err 02, and it's stuck there in the screen. I know I should format the card, but dont have any clue as to where or when to do it, or what will happen if I format the card in the computer and put it back in the camera without ML in it.

Remove battery, remove card.
Use cardreader to transfer data.
Try to use card again without USB connected.

Formatting the card in cardreader will delete ML from card. You have to reinstall ML.

So it was that simple; no need to format anything. Everything seems to be working fine again.
