My Canon 50D is also hacked with ML though I didn't use it this time because the battery only lasts for less than an hour. I used a device which I built. It also controls the motorized dolly where my 50D was mounted. Anyways, here are the pictures in timelapse format. I hope you'll enjoy it! :)

This was shot evening of July 17 here in McHenry County, IL. It took close to 2.5 hours and 742 pictures. I would love to find an open field here and do the same. Looks like my device is ready!

Thank you mitch_p2 and DeafEyeJedi! :)

I actually posted another one and it's longer. I cropped the pictures so we can see the lightning more closer. Check it out

Sweet stuff -- care to share your settings within ML as well as Post workflow?

I wrote above that I didn't use ML due to the battery capacity limitation when using ML. Here are my settings though

ISO 400
10-12 seconds shutter time
number of seconds before it takes another shot - 1 sec
Tamron 11mm @ f2.8 lens
Manual
Raw
Cloudy for white balance since AWB will affect the color change. However, I changed the white balance in post processing

That's all I did

For the post processing, I created a video on how I post process mine. It's brutal since I don't have those expensive video editors. I only use command line specifically ffmpeg tool.

Here is the video. I did my best to explain how I did it.
