Hi,

When trying to record at the highest resolution possible in RAW, which is slightly below 1080p, I am only able to record about 12 seconds of video. I have a Lexar Professional 1066x. I thought this would be able to record longer then just 12 secs.

Any suggestions?

Try shooting at slower frame rate such as 25 or 24fps.

You could also turn off Global Draw.

I use 5D2 and shoot at 25fps with about 20 secs RAW recording time. If i switch to 24fps, i get about 30 secs rec time. Once the card warms up it may also record a few secs longer.

Alternatively, use the older raw_rec module not mlv_raw recording format. The newer MLV format records audio and metadata so it limits record time.

The 5d2 is usable with raw recording but not as good as 5D3 which has continuous raw recording.

@NitromanX, Really only 20 to 30 seconds? you should get more then that .

It's more then usable , the 5D2 dose have continuous recording.
Read this post i wrote with tests on my new Lexar 1066x back in Dec. '14 Link-->http://www.magiclantern.fm/forum/index.php?topic=11205.msg136460#msg136460 I didn't test all the  MLV non-crop frame resolutions  as i only need 1872*936 @23.976p  which will full up a 64GB card with Audio. But if i'm not mistaken i can do 1792*1008 @ 23.976p A.R. 16:9 (72.2 MB/s) continuous , 1856*1004 A.R. 1.85:1 , 60 seconds (74.5 MB/s) , 1872*1012 @23.976p A.R. 1.85:1 , 75.7MB/s for about 45 seconds
(just did a quick test now)
5D2 It's as good if not better then the 5D3 , 5d2 is just limited  to resolution size but have Better HDMI & Audio support that's for sure.

@sirdesancti, Try different  Fill buffer Rates I know Lexar 1066x likes Buffer "4" & "0"
