Trouble upgrading from firmware 1.1.3

I am trying to update to the latest version of ML on a 5D III. I note I need firmware 1.2.3. I have 1.1.3. When I place the SD card with the 1.2.3 firmware file in the camera and turn it on, nothing happens. The camera remains dead. Take out the SD card and it starts up as normal. What can I do?

did you uninstall ML first? ( from the camera, you need the 1.1.3 firmware and run upgrade with it )


then upgrade to 1.2.3


don't use a card that had ML if you did not uninstall it form the card first

If I were you... I'd stick with 113 to gain the most out of the 5D3 in terms of RAW/MLV longer recording times and such...

Just grab a nightly for 113 and proceed with firmware update to properly install.

Otherwise, do what as @Licon_Kter said -- either way should work.
