Hi guys, just picked up a new 6D and was thinking about installing ML.  I'm a long time user of ML on the 600D and happy with the performance, albeit I use an older modified build.

I've scoured the forums trying to find some info and/or bugs regarding the 6D, but with exception of one thread regarding a new build (116 I believe), I couldn't find much else.

Any 6D users with some insight would be great.

Thanks in advance

Thanks for the links Walter, but that's not exactly what I was looking for.  Like I said, I've read everything in the forums, and with exception of the thread on the 116 version, and one recent bug report most of the info is over a year old, so I don't know if it's current and accurate or not.

I've been using ML since day one on the 600d and am familiar with the features, so that link was useless. I've also done my share of bug reporting and compiling code and answered a lot of questions for users new to the game (without posting a single link), as I didn't mind helping out.

What I WAS looking for is someone who has a 6d, familiar with ML (on the 6d) and can bring me up to date.  Simple as that.

But thanks for taking the time to post the links.

Hi, In the same position 600D M/L and now new 6D but with the 6D wireless I am trying DSLRDashboard or DSLRController with my Nexus 7 but any or most Android systems will run them, as I only do Photography never video although there are video options avaiable in both, for HDR, Photo Stacking even a DOF calculator and more. Have used also on the 600D with an OTG cable and wireless via a TP Link 3040.
Still use M/L on the 600D but I like the option for me anyway the large screen of the nexus 7.
Cheers
Russ

thanks rullellsnr .... appreciate the input.  My main concerns is the video side of ML on the 6d.  I shoot strictly commercial and was hoping to get some insight so I can avoid any unexpected surprises, especially with stability, quirks, etc...

I know there will be bugs, I went through the same with the 600D and ended up using an older version that (in my case) was stable, didn't overheat and yet had the features I needed for my work.  It took several weeks/months and a little coding/compiling to get a version that worked well for me.

I was hoping to avoid some of the surprises by talking with someone who uses a 6d, preferably on a commercial basis, that could bring to light any issues I may encounter.

thanks for the response ...
