Nepal Earthquake - Relief Team Documentary

Following the Earthquake of 25 April 2015, a group of Nepali Friends organized a team to help people of affected rural areas. This is an informal effort to bring immediate help to those who need it at the grass roots.
I decided to set up a fund to support the team and to follow them with my camera, to document their relief effort.

This is one of my first video project shared publicly and using magic lantern.
It is a quite quick and dirty edit as I don't have too much time to spend on each videos (planning to release them weekly), while traveling 2-3 days a week with the relief team, and still having a job and a young daughter to look after.
Theoretically, for this kind of project, it would be much easier to use the canon stock h264 video, but I just can't help it, love the raw video footage so much. It's quite tricky for interviews though.

Kharak, I'm using a nikon 50mm 1.2 ais, a fun combo if you ask me, especially with the focus peaking.

Regarding your doc... I love the style and colors. Both of your primes are Nikons, correct?

Curious to see how your 50 1.2 compared with my 50 1.2 (Nikon vs Canon) because I love how my good old Nikkor 24mm 2.8D AF and also do enjoy using the focus peak with it.

To answer your question, no, my other prime is the canon 35 f2 IS. It is maybe not great, but pretty useful, light and small, and the IS is a real plus for handheld video.
