Record video in ML environment

This will sound completely lame for a vast majority but I'm just starting with ML.
I own a Canon 5d mark II andI did set up the REC key for video. But I just can't start a video in the ML environment.
Every time I start the video, I revert to the Canon OS. So, I don't see my audio channels and all of the goodies that ML provides.
I know. I'm a newbie.
Can anyone help with this? That shouldn't be that complicated?
