Hello,
i have installed the latest Nightly Bild on my 700d. After using ML for 15 minutes, the camera started to getting warm (over 45°C). Is this normal? Can someone help me to fix the problem?

Regards

Walter Schulz

Yes, it is considered to be normal. Thermal design is not exactly DSLR's strength.

But when I am using the camera without ML it doesn't get so warm...

This temperature number doesn't mean that much until someone is willing to do some tests: http://www.magiclantern.fm/forum/index.php?topic=9673.0

You may test it yourself: Run video recording for 15 minutes with and without ML and shoot a pic just after your video session. Check EXIF data for temperature. Report back ...
I suppose numbers will not show much difference.
Oh, and don't forget to let the cam cool down after first recording session.

okay please do some measurements.

run it both with and without ML for exactly 15 minutes and measure the temperature.
dont forget to make a pause within the tests to cool down the camera. 45 min should be enough.
