It would be very cool if ML is able to do micro adjust itself for cameras that have MA.

A user can then place the camera on a stable surface and point it towards a random subject. ML then takes a picture at every MA setting and evaluates the sharpness of the focus points. Just like REIKAN FOCAL. Users can then calibrate focus in the field for the type of photography they need.

I saw the heading changed to already done. I found out dot tune is the answer.

Dot tune uses the focus confirmation dot. As i saw on youtube a lot of MA values get a focus confirmation (+10) and the middle point is assumed to be optimal.

How reliable is this? REIKAN uses the real sharpness per MA setting and not just a binary value of focus or not in focus which seems more reliable. If measured sharpness in a photo is better is there a way that ML can evaluate this sharpness instead of the confimation dot? So we can have both evaluation options in ML?

It could be interesting to use some image analysis to determine correct focus rather then rely on Canon.  Maybe this will help in the future.

The current method seems accurate (enough) to me though.
