Crash when tabbed over to module page / 5d3 cf wierdness

Ok so I actually had ML raw working fine during one of the initial releases, I dont remember specifically which version but apparently it was 2 versions of 5d3 firmware ago.

Anyway I stopped using it after my 1066 cf card started giving me corrupted images, either non working raw files or still files that were half garbled. When I took still images without the use of ML about 30-50% were guaranteed to be garbled on the cf card, I chalked this up to a dead card without any others to test on. My sd cards have worked fine though so it marked the end of ML for a time.



Anyway I decided to give things another go, after running a number of checks on the cf card(windows built in, ChkFlash.exe and h2testw_1.4) I cant produce any errors with it so Im thinking its possibly the cameras problem and not the cf card?

Updated to the latest firmware 1.2.3 and downloaded magiclantern-Nightly.2014Aug07.5D3123 and now its crashing when I try to load up the modules tab, I havent even gotten the chance to load any of them it just crashes immediately and gets pretty warm, warmest Ive ever felt the camera(this is also after doing nothing but turn on the camera to try out ML). Anyway on a side note after shooting a number of test shots the garbled cf card images dont seem to be happening, maybe its a blessing in disguise?
