Hi!

I use a lot of different flashes (TTL or no-TTL) but I find difficult to focus on close objects in dark (e.g. nightclubs) when I use a flash that doesn't have an AF-assist light/beam or when I have a trigger mounted on a hotshoe and the internal flash won't fire AF assist or the orange IR AF (the LED that's used for self-timer) will not turn on.

So, can you please make a feature for a T2i that will allow me to force the IR AF light to always work during focusing even though I have an external flash mounted?
Thanks.

That's not an IR AF anything.  It's an little orange LED that provides visual feedback, that isn't strong enough for focus lock purposes.

Also, this has been requested previously.
