Greetings, I have a problem here with HDR bracketing in 600d. Here are the settings that I use:

- Camera mode: M
- White Balance: Auto
- Shutter speed: 1/60
- Aperture: 8.0
- Iso: 200
- Quality: RAW
- Beep: Disable
- Image Review: OFF
- Auto Lighting Optimizer: Disable
- ML HDR Bracketing: 9x1EV,0-+,2s (ISO shifting: OFF, Post scripts: OFF)

All other settings have their default values. The problem is that when I press the shutter in LiveView mode, the number of exposures taken is highly variable and nondeterministic. Sometimes it captures 5-7 exposures, sometimes it captures up to 17 or 25 exposures, sometimes it captures the correct number (9) of exposures.

I face the problem in both ML version v2.3 and the latest nightly build.

I tried working with another 600d camera and faced with the same problem.

The interesting thing is when the LiveView is turned off, the camera takes the correct number of exposures. The problem occurs only when LiveView is on.

Did any of you face this problem before? Do you have any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

@okantt

First use a fixed WB when bracketing, never auto as the WB will likely vary image to image. I know if shooting RAW this is not an issue, but it's just good practice.

Have you tried brackets other than 9?

Finally, try auto bracketing. I always meter for the dark/shadows first, ie as the base exposure, as I find ML cover the highlight end ok, but sometimes leaves me lacking at the lower end.

Just some ideas.
