Hi!

A couple of months ago I purchased a used 5D mark III camera, and I'm pretty sure this camera has had ML before because startup-time is 2 seconds. When I bought it FW 1.1.3 was installed, and no magic lantern. I updated the firmware to 1.2.3 and everything is working fine.

My question is if there should be anything that I should put into consideration before installing ML (could there be some bootflags or anything from the previous install that could mess things up, or am I good to go? )

No expert but you don't install ML on the camera only the card so the newest ML with the correct  Canon firmware.

Ok, so if there is a bootflag enabled from 1.1.3, and if I now install ML 1.2.3 version there should be no interfering?

All that "installing" ML really does is set the bootflag. If it's already set, then you don't even need to "install" ML. Just put the files on your card and make it "bootable" with EOSCard or macboot. If it's simpler for you just do the install again, it makes no difference.

Thank you, I thought there were different bootflags for different firmwares ;)
