Hi all,

here are some infos regarding times and compression Rate for a transfer test with one MLV Testfile from one drive to another drive.
The Testfile was a MLV File with 1535 Frames (61,4 seconds long)

We used a Mac Book Pro (latest Version) and two attached WD "My Passport 2TB" Drives over USB 3.
The Test was done to get a feeling how long it will take to copy a MLV File with compression to a another Drive. The Compression was done to verify how much space is needed on the backup drive.

mlv_dump did the highest compresion here, but it tooks a really long time to compress the file. Too get a closer look into the transfer rates (with and without compression), we will do some other tests in a couple of days. The next tests will be splitted in more parts to give you an impression how fast the thunderbolt drives from G-Technology can copy files from one drive to another drive.
