As stated in the title the option to turn of the 550d's preflash.

That means controlling the flash manually, which i think isn't possible.
Preflash isn't just a way to annoy people but the way the camera knows how much light there is when flashing.
Manual on camera flash would surely be cool but impossible, as far as i understood.
Canon EOS 6D, 60D, 50D.

It would be very usefull to turn off preflashes and flash just once with manually set power.
It would allow to trigger external photocell cheap flashes.
Is it hard to implement such a feature?
