Can we add a NOTIFY ME by MAIL in the thread?

Hi everybody.
I don't know where put this post:

Lot of time here, enjoying ML and the new builds. But... I feel a little  lost pressing " New Replies to your post" or " Show unread posts since...".
I think sometimes you don't post anything - and I post to get only the " New replies" notification. And I only need to follow the work.
Or I have found old responses form other users or I give a help and the user never come back...

So

I propose to add a button " Follow this topic/unfollow" that notify by email when it's active.
(I think this form can support this)

I took the model from other open source like Insanelymac, Black Magic Forum and others.

There are some threads in the site discussion section.

The biggest issue as far as I know is the bandwidth (email volume) placed on the mail server.
