Re-installing Magic Lantern on Canon 6D

Hey guys!  So, I just recently installed ML on my Canon 6D, and recently formatted my SD card on my MacBook through the Disk Utility.  Which brings me to my general question. 

Do I have to make my card bootable again, in order to re-install ML on the SD card?

Download ML nightly, extract contents and copy them on card. Insert into cam, run firmware update.
