I have a Canon 6D and can currently shoot RAW Video at 1600x728 on my 32GB 45mb/s card for about 30 seconds which is nice.  If I was to upgrade to the sandisk 90mb/s card,  would I gain anything from it considering the 6D buffer is 40mb/s?  my current card write speed on average is 38-41mb/s.

How did you determine the write speed of your current card?

If you didn't, you should use the ML benchmark located in the debug menu.

Yes i used the Magic Lantern benchmarks

If you know you are already at the current hardware limits, what does logic tell you?

well yeah,  but am i?  I read the 6d is limited to 40MB/s, but also read its 50MB/s.    I'm seeing a lot of good results with the 95MB/s card compared to mine so i guess will have to find out.

I expect this to be accurate.

If the cost is a low priority, I would go the faster card, all day, every day.  It may not be faster in camera, but it will be when transferring to a computer with a decent USB3 reader.  :)

Just did a test and the new card gave me 152 more frames at 1600x728 than the previous 32GB 45MB/s Sandisk Card. So i would say upgrading to the 95MB/s Card does make a difference,  i believe that is a good 6 to 7 seconds more.

Feel like posting some screenshots of the benchmarks, from both cards?
