[WONTFIX] Use on camera LCD for info while outputting video

Would it be possible to display audio meters, waveform or other things like that to the on camera LCD while outputting video to the HDMI or SD video ports? I know you can't use both for video but it seems like it could be useful to have this information without cluttering up the external video feed.
