Canon 6D 3X Crop mode support

Hi

Just wanted to confirm if ML supports 3x crop zoom feature on 6D. I mostly do wildlife photography and light videos with my Canon EF 70-300 f/4-5.6L IS USM Lens.

Now time for an upgrade and want to extend my 300mm lens without using an extender.

And lastly if 3x crop mode is supported on 6D, is it only for video or can I use for stills as well?

Still deciding between 6D and Mark iii. Any help would me much appreciated as am new to ML.

neither has a crop mode, both modes are for video only
