First Attempt at a Promotional Video
« on: June 19, 2012, 09:07:49 PM »
This is my first attempt at a Promo video of a machine we build at work.

I used a 600D with ML installed.  At the time I did not realize how nice the ML follow focus was, so I did the best I could manually with the kit lens.  I'll use ML next time.

I have a DIY motorized slide in the works as well which should produce better results than the cart+tripod I used for the sliding shot.

Workflow:
Edited in Open Source Blender VSE (Video Sequence Editor), which likes the Canon native MOV files without additional plugins/codecs.
Used Creative Commons music found online.
I'm using ML for photography with:
EOS 600D T3i - EF-S 18-55mm f4-5.6 IS USM (Kit)

Very nice. I work for a brewery and we just installed a canning machine. I was thinking about doing something similar, making use of FPS override for some nice motion blur effects.

This gives me some ideas, thank you.
