Hello everyone!

I just recently installed Magic Lantern in my 60D. I noticed than when recording video and opening the SD Card in my computer there are some additional files under the DCIM/100CANON folder called 31370001.422 and the last number before the dot increasing with each file. These files do not match the exact number of the videos recorded and they appear sometimes and sometimes they don't. I know there are some additional weird looking files within the SD card root folder, but I'm not sure if there should be anywhere else.

I was wondering if those files are supposed to appear and if so what do they mean? Or should I reinstall ML or not worry about it at all?

Thanks a lot guys.

Good footage doesn't make a story any better.

So this is when you are shooting RAW or H.264?

Weird... Can you open them with anything? I get .thm files which allow me to play the videos back on my camera. Try dragging just the clip to your desktop and opening. If that works it's more of a nuisance than anything else. If you use Premier Pro it shouldn't effect anything because it just won't import those files.

Oh ok thanks. But why do they appear? Do they always do?

Try deleting the configuration files in /ML/Settings

Are you using the nightly builds from http://builds.magiclantern.fm/#/ or tragiclantern?

ivanear

In one SD Card I have a file named "MAGIC.CFG" and in another SD Card I have the same file plus another one named "HIDDEN.CFG". Should I delete both of these? And no, I'm not using a nightly build nor tragiclantern.

I forgot to come back here and tell you it worked and thank you!
