Very nice, congratulations!

Which stabilyzer? And how did you pull focus?

Last note: I still believe that 5.7K is not the most accurate way to describe the 1x3 anamorphic mode... but for sure, it is the most commercial one ;) Did you try the 3.5K (which would be equivalent to 3.7K in UHD terms, actually) 1x1 mode?

Hey there,

i just wanted to share a few shots i made in the forest...

Lenses:
Helios 44-2 58mm F2
Aramac 25mm F3.5

The ML Build used for this was a.sintes latest modification of dannes CropRec Build - crop_rec_4k_mlv_snd_isogain_1x3_presets_ultrafast_2023Sep01

Workflow:

Raw Fixes, Exposure, Sharpening and White Balance in MLVApp
Export with Arri LOG C Profile to ProRes 422
Color Grading and Editing in Resolve

Have a nice day,

Raw Video / Re: Time lapse RAW video?
Last post by Walter Schulz - June 12, 2024, 08:42:57 AM
First of all you should always tell which build you are using. It can be determined by name of the zip you downloaded or in cam's ML info screen.
Second: There are 2 different RAW/MLV recording modules. One is MLV_REC.mo, the other MLV_LITE.mo. It would be helpful to tell which one you were using.

With this cam you won't get full sensor resolution to card with RAW/MLV recording. In crop mode 2512x1080 is the limit. In non-crop mode you can get the whole sensor area but resolution is 1728x1156 and cam is using line-skipping.

If you have to use full sensor width with full sensor resolution there are two options:
- Silent pic module (silent.mo) with "Full-resolution" option. AKA FRSP. This one comes with some restrictions about speed (no high fps count possible) and shutter speeds available.
- Old school and shutter wearing time-lapse in photo mode using intervalometer/timer.

Quote from: Skinny on June 07, 2024, 01:47:26 PMI'd say it will be really useful to get max FPS possible with h.264 (standard resolution) as well as 3x3 raw (16:9, 3:2, it doesn't need to be continuous)

3:2 h264 mode also would be great if possible, even if it is only 24 FPS
Raw i can do 60fps 3x3 1600x800 i do believe, h264 is around 40 fps i think, the think with H264
is it has a HD preset that is encodes to 1920x1080 , (you need to reduce resolution or a custom one)
That can't be change Yet (it could be with 422 Avi which the H264 gets it stream from) actually it start with the raw stream them goes to compressed 422 8bit .avi then H264 .
So the 40D (a D4 cam) has some success with avi compression (i have followed that development and hope to try and get it running on 5D2 someday ,
that's same compression as the canon 1DC 4k cinema cam.

@An147 , dual iso is not as stable as its on 5D3 , anything over ISO 800(for low levels) & ISO 100 (for hi-light recovery) will give issue & beside that any ISO higher the 800 is digital push or pull not a true analog full clean ISO , even the 1/2 ISO changes e.g. ISO 150 or ISO 1200 (those are just pushed digitally) that being said , I only got good clean processing in MLVProducer
 https://www.magiclantern.fm/forum/index.php?msg=216415
https://sourceforge.net/projects/mlvproducer/files/mlvp.alpha.build3370.zip/download

Also remember there's aliasing & moiré still in 3X3 so dual ISO will magnify more.

No, I don't think so.
Really is there any projects that are dead ? or just haven't the time to get back to it.
Heder being working on the 7D(mark2) with great results , some day 40D will continue.

The above 2 pieces or log file , i think is needed to get lossless compression working on 5D2
the below piece of log file is related to all D4 cams but i suspect somthing is needed from the above
log file , as previous lossless compression test (silent picture) always lockup during the saving routines. Like the its not unlocking or locking the (ProcessTwoInTwoOutJpegPath) that the D4 version
of lossless , plus I think D5 cam use 4 in & 4 out streams maybe just the 5D3 , the D4 use 2 in & 2 out . In the end there some missing resources or the code structure is wrong for d4 (wouldn't be the first time i had to change so D5 code to work in D4 cams  :)

Raw Video / Time lapse RAW video?
Last post by ramriot - June 11, 2024, 10:24:22 PM
I'm using a Canon 600D with Magic Lantern & the RAW video modules. I've noticed that configuring the module it restricts the frame size & states it is a data transfer limit to the SD card.

So far so good, but if I mess with the other settings I can a much lower frame rate (I don't really care if its 24fps or 2.4fps, my use case is not live video) but I cannot increase the frame size & it complains about insufficient transfer speed even though its quoted speed is now WAY WAY slower than the max.

Anyone can give me a hint or a guide on how to set up the camera to get something like full resolution RAW video with a much reduced frame rate?
