Hi, When useing the Rack Focus option to obtain near and far focus along with the Focus box is there a way without moving the camera once the near object is in focus to see the distant object in the focus box?
I am trying to use the Rack focus in conjunction with the focus stacking for stills and have tried useing Canon's own zoom feature when setting this up but when I press the magnify button it just sends me back into the M/L menu.
Canon 600D and 90mm macro lens on a tripod.

Hi, Can anyone please explain not what the Step size does but what Step size you would use when say photographing a flower head compaired to phographing say a 12inch ruler from top to bottom with the MagicLantern firmware.

Cannot understand why people keep stating "Why firmware for EOS 600D is not updated" or any other camera come to that. Here we have a free firmware, yes that is FREE!!! that does on most Canon cameras what before you could only dream about or wait years for Canon to play catch up, be happy and grateful for what we have been given and go out and take pictures!!!

Hi, Why would I contact the developer of QDSLRController for an app like the one developed here that allows Dual ISO images from MagicLantern to show up in lightroom on a PC?
And if I had the knowledge to develope one that would be marvelous but I don't!
The DSLRController only sends the images to the Nexus tablet but MagicLantern makes the Dual ISO in camera!!

Hi, Asked back on March 20, 2015 with no reply so try again!! I am using a Nexus 7 tablet with QDSLRController, Magic Lantern Dual ISO and Canon 600D is there a way so that when I review the Dual ISO images on the Nexus7 I can rid of the lines across the image as you do with the Lightroom plug-in?

600D works just fine with what there is no need for anything else.

Hi, In the same position 600D M/L and now new 6D but with the 6D wireless I am trying DSLRDashboard or DSLRController with my Nexus 7 but any or most Android systems will run them, as I only do Photography never video although there are video options avaiable in both, for HDR, Photo Stacking even a DOF calculator and more. Have used also on the 600D with an OTG cable and wireless via a TP Link 3040.
Still use M/L on the 600D but I like the option for me anyway the large screen of the nexus 7.

Hi, Not 100% sure what you are asking here but I use a Canon 600D and all files are saved in camera as RAW then combined in software of joice on the computer. Not knowing the settings on a 6D but from what I have read if you are doing in camera HDR then the camera will output Jpegs only for this (maybe wrong?).

Found this comment on another forum "But be aware that, unlike the 5DIII which gives you the original files as well as a RAW HDR file, the 6D converts all in-camera HDRs to JPEG. "

Hi, You can try removing the battery while the camera is on then replace it or try formatting the card out of camera so it is clean. Have you tried another card?

Hi, Is there an app to allow a Dual ISO image to be viewed on a tablet running Android without the pink coloured lines?

Do you use a battery grip? if so is it tight?.
Have you tried another card without ML installed?

Or when you turn on the 600D camera hold in the set button so ML will not load

Hi, Garry that is what I get, two stacked images one un-processed and one processed and I can not see a way of getting them back un-stacked or just the converted image back. Today had just over 50 dual ISO images and had to unstack one by one I no 50 maybe OK but imagine 150 or more to un-stack!!

Hi, ok a little advice please!.
I have the Dual ISO working in Lightroom 5 but cannot see if it is possible when re-importing once the conversion is complete to only import the converted file as I am getting two stacked images every time on re-import, also approximately how long should a conversion take per image.

Hi, I put this question in the Gen Help section and was directed here so!!
I installed a new hard drive and some software including Lightroom 5
before I did anything the Dual ISO plug-in worked fine with the image below

showing with options but now after installing the V3.0 when I send an image to the plug-in it just converts and sends back to Lightroom!
Is this now how it should work please as I get no options to use the 20 bit that I had before.
Please before/if someone answers I have read a lot of this original posting here and it is well over my head as far as change this here and change that number there.
I use Win 7 64 bit same as I did on the old drive.

Hi, I have replaced my Hard Drive and tried to ADD the module to Lightroom 5 and it does show in the manager but when I send an image I don't get the option list from Dual ISO 
Should I still get this option please?

The  latest official builds for all cameras section is now 40 pages long with the first going back to October 2012 would it be possible please for a little clean up in there?

Hi, Should be no problem. However don't format the card in the Go-Pro as it will probably delete your ML and (not sure on this) but to get the card to work in the Go-pro after coming from the Canon you may have to format it. Maybe someone else knows better but if it where me I would buy another card or even ask for one as a an Xmas prezzie

Hi, Thanks for that, however when I take an image that info dissapears from the bottom of the screen and the only way I can see of getting it back is going back into the ML settings again after every shot?
Probably me I am missing something
