You can try pre-pre alpha version of CHDK. Intervalometer script should work...

Ant, is there any chance of getting an option to turn off Exposure Simulation any time soon on CHDK?

I did not find "autoexec.bin" string in original firmware but there is "diskboot.bin" string => CHDK
