im also wondering what you mean...have you tried to grade mjpeg and you find results same as h264? i dont have the camera yet but some footage i see with eoshd log looks 'different' from usual canon's compressed files

if the camera can write at least at 130mb/s and we could get 2.5k/24 or 1920x818/50fps nonstop i would be happy. also waiting for some sensor testing for the most critical aspect- DR.
and ofc lets pray for some1 to port ML :)

yes i know theoretically udma7 support write speed up to 150mb/s...something i havent seen practically yet (i could only reach 113mb write speed with 64 Lexar 1066x in CrystaDisc)...what it matters anyway is that atm we can only use 90mb/s max when rec. video with ML...i hope ML will support future cameras with higher speed

Kudos to Canon indeed..but its hard to lie now that the ML experts are messing deep with their camera :) i'v sent mails both to KB support and Canon Europe almost 2 years ago (when Aug.14 build was released) and they confirmed both that the camera write limit is 100mb/s...i cant find those mails as its been too long and must have been deleted..
Its in the playback mode that benchmarks go 110-120mb/s while in movie they reach 88-92mb.

I see KB post benchmark that shows 120mb/s write speed from 5D3...isnt the camera limited to 100mb/s? At least this is what Canon confirms. How you can get +20mb ?

oh i didnt realise this post was about my issue too and posted a new thread...i got lcd brightness level going up&down
#40
I remember an old post of someone having same issue but cannot find it....on 5d3 while lcd brightness is set to manual the level keeps moving up-down. removed battery ,cards reinstalled ML but nothing works...i havent made any changes to my settings and im with the same build since August '15. Anyone please?

hi all ..i'm using ml for over a year and i'm very happy filming @ 1080p with 5d3. 1st time now i need to write in 720p50 16:9 and im having the following issue.
I have 720p50 ALL-I in canon menu...set fps override and desired fps set to 50 and everything else set properly (i need 16:9 aspect)....but i get cropped 1280 and the display is minimized in a small box (if i turn off GD i get full image but still not writing in 16:9 720p). I'm on 5d3 123-Aug. build
Am i doing smth wrong here? Appreciate any help..thx
