1.  How do we delete the temp files? Where does it store them
**EDIT** Found them  C:\Users\YourNameHere\AppData\Local\Temp  Folder is in there.
2.  What if instead of checking the date and downloading if newer, have a button for deleting the temp files to force a recheck, and always have it download the latest file?
Always have the same file name (7Dbeta.zip for instance) and always upload updates with the same name so the app always pulls the latest file from the server reguardless if we have MM/DD/YY, YY/DD/MM, etc.
1. You don't need to delete anything if the program works as planned.
2. Yeah, there are thousands of solutions but I've chosen this...
Have you tested it?

Edit:
I see others tested it and worked.
Thanks!

Still the same error. application crashes seconds after opening. how exactly would we bennefit from that update, since 1.35 works just fine.
1.35 use the same zip that once downloaded (you will miss the newer versions or have to delete the zip manually from your tem folder)
1.36 checks the date of the downloaded zip and download it again if necessary.
The bug is in the conversion routine (date to string) probably cause the different locale settings

For those who experienced crash with EOScard 1.36:

Please download the latest  http://pel.hu/down/EOScard.exe  try it and report if it's still crashing or not.
Thanks!

For those who experience crashed EOScard:

What language (locale) settings do you use?

Even if EOScard crash you can download the necessary zip from http://pel.hu/ML/magiclantern-7D.203.Alpha2.zip
but you need to prepare your card with something else.

Edit:
I've uploaded the previous version here: http://pel.hu/down/EOScard1.35.exe

Produce a new camera from scratch is definitely not in the same ballpark as polish the camera's code here and there a little...
#259
EOScard 1.36 can check the date of the zip files so it downloads again if necessary.
Please test it and report any errors.

Btw, is there an auto-ETTR module for 7D?
It's not working.

@Pelican Thanks for the update~! :D Where does EOSCard store the magiclantern-7D.203.Alpha2.zip file? I think I need to delete the old one first because it thinks the file is already downloaded and won't download the new download.

@Audionut Thanks for the update! This is awesome! :D
Thanks for the bug report I will repair EOScard soon.
It puts to the default temp folder of the user as hypermobile figured out...

What about pick_view module?
The pic_view (picture viewer) module cannot load so I didn't include that.

That's a lot cleaner then what I was doing to the code (surprise, surprise)!

Here is a new build
I've refreshed the files in the zip here so EOScard can download this version from now.
Also updated EOScard itself (bugfix).
The file_man.mo is  the newest with the date info.

Did u use only 100/800 iso or u went above the 800? Were u put your lower iso, in the canon settings or in ML Dual iso settings? ...and what card u r using?
100/1600,
last time I used the default setting (low ISO in Canon),
Transcend 400x 32GB

Something like this.

I couldn't figure out how to convert timestamp to struct tm...

Edit:
Done.

EOScard put this version to the card:

Magic Lantern v2.3.NEXT.2013Jul25.7D203
Mercurial changeset: ac3f8247a551+ (unified)
Built on 2013-07-25 09:50:21 by magiclantern@magiclantern-VirtualBox

The modules folder:
7D_203.sym          41881 bytes
dual_iso.mo            7660 bytes
file_man.mo          13700 bytes

I've  just shot 70+ dual_iso shot without freezing or Err 70
I could take 21 images (RAW+JPG) in a row with 8 fps until the buffer filled up.

Edit:
Continued the test and finally got an Err70 :-(

Firmware.firm is in the root of the SD card, freshly formatted by the camera.

Are you sure you have 7D?  ;)

Were can i find this new version and the Audionut's realese for the software?  So... with this i just need the EOScard software/program and then install direct to the 7D ?

Get the latest EOScard from it's site: http://pel.hu/eoscard

You don't need to get any ML stuff, just choose 7D alpha2 in EOScard and it will download and put it on your card.
But it install the autoboot version, so you have to prepare your camera first.

General Help Q&A / Re: Modules not loading
July 26, 2013, 10:58:01 PM
Try to put the modules one by one because if one fail then all of them show error (at least for me on the 7D).
#273
I released a new version of EOScard with some bugfix of unzipping ML files/folders.
I've also made Audionut's release available for the software, so EOScard can install 7D ML alpha2 with dual iso and file manager modules from now.
I still haven't experience any crash or error with this build but others have serious problems so use it for your own risk...
#274
I've just play with the file browser on the 7D.
It has worked well.
Some suggestions:
- The module name is file manager but the name of the menu item is file browser. It could be the same.
- There is enough space between the file name and the file size so the file date could be a useful info there. The date format can set as the camera's date format using the corresponding property.

Also I've found a bug in the module loader:
- If one module loading fails all the other modules show error and not load.

Interesting...
For me it's worked like a charm. No hangout, no ERRxx, nothing.
Edit:
Yes, cr2hdr makes pink/magenta in the highlights in both situation (100-1600, 1600-100)
