nope, just keeps the HDMI at "VGA" size instead of doing full HD.

The props do change and behave like in photo mode... but you can set bulb in movie mode and the expo sim will be affected but the other props will not... so the shutter prop will be 0xc and the display will be brighter but real shutter blanking is surely not "bulb" for live view

Also can look at it with the prop browser after getting the numbers from property.h/c

without expo override canon always changed the ISO to make fake shutter/aperture adjustements. it was required to have it on. did not seem to have a problem

Photo mode and not recording H264 are actually the same as 60P just cut down to 30 fps. I could have sworn that the shutter fine tuning worked at rest though.

50D and others you can change the ISO from the canon dialog and the adjustment active memory location is altered... on 6D the same location from the same function doesn't change. When I was originally testing it I don't think it changed the dialog handler either. So ML never knows when you are changing the ISO from canon

Compare the configs I had posted up in my repo... each one is a different mode, rc/vbr/cbr. I've been using those. The encoders between the two are the same.

Now, the problem I have is with a 6D. That feature is not working on that camera.

Whoa whoa... this feature is for live view. So silent pics, raw, etc... I've never seen it keep the settings in photo mode. It appears to do the same thing on other cams I tried as it does on 6D... so how exactly isn't working?

Expo override doesn't let me change ISO anymore after enabling it but it displays the correct exposure in LV

The iso adjustment dialog is different... it lets you change ISO from the ML menu however. So maybe you found a bug... I speculate that its from there being a lack of "iso_adjustment_active". What does it do on 5DIII?

Maybe the fix would be looking what dialog handler if any exists for the iso menu.

It will crash/hang/stop on a complex scene mainly in VBR/CBR modes, the rate control usually pulls through. Also watch for complex scenes causing bottom frame garble if you set the QP too high and it starts throwing away data.

I think VBR is the hardest encoding mode to get working across scenes. Plus interesting to compare profile 4.x and 5.1.

its not too bad.. know that you can set it so high that the encoder can't keep up and drops or mangles frames. I could barely play back some 400Mb/s clips and above some point it causes aberrations... like near the area you're at. Probably 150-160 was where it was semi-balanced

Also, ALL-I is nice compared to 24Mb/s IBP but not so nice compared to 100Mb/s IBP. There is a ratio to this, something like 2:1. So you need 100Mb/s all I to be like 50Mb/s IBP... its on H264 sites.

The main relevant thing is dialog timer disable isn't in main and I don't think it can get accepted.

You can get the highest analog ISO from dual_iso... its like 3200. Look at the ISO research thread and maybe try some of the research tools if you want to get into the nitty gritty.

make sure the wind filter is off.

Yea, those have to be all patched out. I only had it going on 5DIII 1.1.3.. they didn't want *too* much tweaking with the encoder. You can get by without patches following what I found in the first few posts when editing the config.

I think you can install the picture styles with it, just use a newer eos utility. Thats about all it can do.

they only add that on the complex AF cameras, the only thing we got was the switchable AF depending on how you hold the camera. so gained nothing and lost af patterns.

Yea the bracketing should work, there was a bug introduced from something but should be fixed in both versions

Yup... esp after using display filter and making the LV single buffered. If you raise the CPU usage after that you get lots of aberrations in the YUV.

ALSO more importantly have to fix the histogram on HDMI monitors, its wrong, don't trust it yet. Unplug the monitor and see.

Its working here, I haven't been able to reproduce it. Do you have the set  button mapped to something else? I'm merging 7D at the moment + a lot of the stuff in 6D is already merged and the rest is not accepted in main (i.e cache hacks). What are you missing in ML? Have some bugs?

On the other hand, I won't donate for TL if it continues to diverge, one could wonder what's the TL goal actually.

I don't take money donations. ML takes BTC donations. No workforce, its just me and 5 bodies. My goal is a fully featured camera that I can use, its never been much more than that.

I was hoping for a 5D3 equivalent firmware update. They really owe us the mirroring mode, even if we have to turn it on ourselves.

Yup, I noticed that too. And I was going to actually block focusing while recording for this reason. I don't remember if it worked without "small hacks" but I think it crashes out on me every time I af + raw.
