Setting highlight_level to 500000 and shadow_level to 1 should disable any correction. It's out of range, but it works because highlight correction is always negative compared to midtones, shadow correction is always positive.

You'll see when I'll announce it. There are still some little glitches in the workflow, and I'll try to publish the code these days.

Cool.

For timelapse, this script may not be ideal; you probably want the same settings on all files, rather than analyzing every single image and deciding how many exposures it needs.

If you disable highlight/shadow recovery (e.g. by setting the thresholds to extreme values), you should get similar results as with ML post deflicker. Maybe slightly less accurate because of downsampling.

Here, imagemagick says:

convert: Sorry, there are legal restrictions on arithmetic coding `00000001.jpg' @ error/jpeg.c/EmitMessage/235.

So... try to output a png or tiff or something:

j  = os.path.join(out_dir, change_ext(f, ".tif"))

Can you upload a final jpeg file?

I have enfuse 4.0-753b534c819d, what version is yours? I know syntax changed a little between 3.x and 4.x, but I'm not using any advanced options here.
#8306
Can you upload dev.log and maybe try to open the intermediate files from tmp?

ImageMagick gave some warnings, but the exposure levels seem to be recognized. Probably something with enfuse (try running it manually on the images from tmp).

I don't have CS3, so maybe you can upload a DNG that can't be loaded and another that can?

If you go back to older versions without a proper bug report, I won't even know the bug is there ;)

Outside LiveView; but this is not yet ported on 50D IIRC

I've used it with 5D3 in a cave. Auto Snap, took first shot at 1 second or so, next shot auto-exposed at around 10-30 seconds ISO 100-6400.

Nope, these are demosaic artifacts. Try AMaZE or DCB (rawtherapee has them).

Try a better demosaicing algorithm.

Feature Requests / Re: DEP mode (not A-DEP)

I'm afraid it's only technically possible in LiveView, with lenses that report focus distance.

(which is pretty useless, given how well autofocus works in LiveView)
#8314
Easy, with that theory that almost nobody believed: ISO 1600 is less noisy than ISO 100.

;)

Something along these lines: http://www.guillermoluijk.com/article/nonoise/index_en.htm

Another sample, this time a video frame from 5D3:

(bottom left is ISO 100, top right is with a small ADTG trick, at the same shutter speed and aperture; both graded with the above script so I could compare them)

DNG

Still fine-tuning the details.

Maybe the guys from Comodo don't like hackers :D

I personally am not longer interested in flash photography, so you are out of luck.

Maybe someone else, but it's unlikely, since I don't even know where to start to trigger the flash.
#8318
Can you describe in detail how the install process went?
#8319
Then, please call things by their name.

I do care about safety. If something it's likely to cause permanent damage of the camera, I don't include it in public builds. But Tragic Lantern is not maintained by me, and it does not meet my safety standards (e.g. patching assertions in Canon code without understanding the implications is a no-no for me).

If you don't care about that, you are on your own and I will no longer help you if things go wrong.

On the official Magic Lantern? If yes, it has to be deleted, because it's dangerous.

QuoteQuick question: in ML RAWmode,  it is possible to choose between: RAW, SRAW MRAW, explain pls.  ....they are?)

Huh? that's photo mode quality and you choose it from Canon menu...

(or maybe you are not running ML?)
#8322
You have reached the exposure limits of LiveView.

The problem is that I don't know exactly how to find them for each camera.
#8323
Remove the battery and the card, then start without card.

You could have looked at sticky post titles right here...

You should know how to operate the camera before even thinking to install Magic Lantern.
