Post a silent DNG and regular CR2 that use the same exposure settings and are of the same scene. Also make sure you have expo override enabled or are in manual movie mode when taking silent pics, the LV picture might be "simulated" if you are not.

Also please include basic info like camera and ML build date, and all of the settings you are using.

@dmilligan here is the link of DNG, CR2 and JPEG
i tried same thing on 6D and same issues, DNG is not even 1080p :(
DNG File: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/106218119/98910000.DNG
JPG File: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/106218119/IMG_9890.JPG
CR2 File: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/106218119/IMG_9891.CR2

Magic lantern version is latest nightly build available

this thread is silent for a very long time
i just tried silent pictures n compared them with raw
i find the shadow recovery suffers greatly in DNG files
the dynamic range is also very bad
am i doing something wrong here?

I think the issue is somewhere else. I'm using ML on my 60D since 2012 n it has been brilliant  ever since. No issues what so ever. Perhaps ur HDR thing is enabled n the photographer didn't know it. My limited knowledge says this HDR could be an issue.
Otherwise try one more thing, load a new card with latest firmware (remove ML) n then take shots. Let's see if the issue is really in ML settings or otherwise.

Duplicate Questions / Re: <100 minimum ISO
September 19, 2014, 06:30:13 PM
We see that on APSC cameras like 60D etc there is less noise at ISO 160, 320, 640 Etc as compared to other ISOs! Below them
N why is it like that? Why ISO 640 is less noisy than ISO 500 or ISO 1250 is cleaner than ISO 1000 or even ISO 800

Share Your Photos / Shooting Stars!!! ...a startrail
February 19, 2013, 12:33:25 AM
Saw few amazing star trails of David Kingham and Weerapong Chaipuck and i had my old star trails raw pictures ... it is a merge of 60 x pictures each 30 sec exposure shot at ISO 3200 in Skardu. The lights in the foreground are of Shangrilla Resort in Skardu with some portion of Kachura Lake also visible.

Thanks to Hakka69 and Weerapong Chaipuck's "Bromo before sunrise" for inspiring me ... and David Kingham for and excellent tutorial and A1ex and team for making magic lantern ...

ist option ... Sigma 10-20 f4-5.6 ... best build quality in all UWA lenses ... including canon 10-22 n tokina 11-16 ... from hood till back cap best built ... but image quality is inferior to both ... especialy wide open ... but again it is cheapest ... find out in ur local markets about its rates ... idal for land scapes when stopped down till f8-f11 can work on a full frame body but with vignetting from 10mm till 15mm

2nd option ... canon 10-22mm f3.5-5.6 ... fast n silent af motor ... sharp ... pretty sharp actually :) ... build quality is great ... except hood ... sharper than sigma at f7-f9

3rd option tokina 11-16 f2.8 ... best lens out there ... a balanced lens ... 2.8f is a biggest plus ... build quality is better than canon ... but worst hood :) and lens cover ... af speed is also a bit slow ... slowest among all three ... but still much better than kit lens ... silent as well ... ideal for astrography and low light for its 2.8f aperture ... n it is sharp also at wide open ... my personal fav ... also usable on full frame but manual focus n vignetting ... except 16mm ... expensive of all three ...

4th option .. sigma 8-16mm hsm ... well this is one beautiful lens ... which only the APSC users can enjoy ... widest lens out there ... a bit pricy also ... might be most expensive ... but behold ... 8mm is really wide :D

i asked same question to 18lights and the reply was
Quote19lights PLUS 7 hours ago
Hi Babar. There are two movie files because there were two separate shots. So it is correct that you only have one clip.

still confusing ... :)
so when we shoot a scene with ML loaded cam n then gt one fil of mov from cam thn how to process that on file ... rest workflow is right but this mystery of what to select in 2nd mov .... any random shot???

and this reply i have received

Quote"  Hi Babar. Sorry for the confusion. Just select the same shot for the first and last and it should work.

The guys at 19Lights programmed a new cool method for dealing with real 32-bit HDR footage in After Effects and Premiere. It's a nice idea in my opinion because you don't need to render out .exr sequences anymore if you don't want to.

i just wana ask one query which the guy in tutorial didnt explain well
ist of all ... how he got two *.MOV files
