where did you buy your cards? ebay?
If I was "frustrated" with magic lantern, I would  buy blackmagic cinema camera and call it a day. Nobody's here guarantee 100% working firmware.  Read forums, do your search and you'll find the info you're looking for.
As a forum member I just appreciate what A1ex and other guys do for us. If it does not work for you  just go back to factory setting...

I ve tried the firmware on canon 5d m3 but ma able to use it only at 1728x972.. with superior resolution the recording stops and I have a trascendent and lexar 32 gb 1000x..
probably I am doing something wrong but am a bit frustrated..I an not saying it is bette blackmagic cinema camera but at leat that its simpler..

any advice?

Last weekend I recorded ~150 mlv files using latest ML for 5D3 1.2.3. No problems at all.

Can I ask you why did you choose the "roundtrip" so long?
Is possible to cut in davnici and export the clip to adobe premiere for final "makeup"?
I noticed when I import clip from adobe to davinci - I lost the effects applied in premiere... .

Today i update firmware to 1.2.3 and install this version magiclantern-Nightly.2014Apr24.5D3123

And all OK!!! a1ex the best!!!:) No pink or other strange things.

Full roundtrip from Chmee's raw2cdng 1.5.0.beta3 -> Davinci Resolve -> offline proxy -> Premiere CC -> aaf/edl to Davinci and back to Premiere.

Only one strange was happend. XML from Premiere don't conform right in Resolve..... Resolve sey's "the clip .... failed to link because the timecode extents do not match any clip in the Media Pool" But AAF and EDL work correct.

It's not a issue with 1.2.3 firmware. We need some code in mlv_rec to refresh it.

I noticed if you switch live view off and back on it'll show  the remaining space on card. Not sure if it's correct value or not.  Some "refresh counter" procedure would be required in the next build.

Also after recording 7 min it does not show the right remaining space on card - 64gb card does not supposed to have 59.4 gb of free space after 7 min recording.

Do you know how to make crop layout show up in MLV_VIDEO ?  I managed to set it up to display  2.5:1 ratio but as soon as I hit the record button - it disappears and shows me the regular Canon's 1920x1080 screen.
Again it only happens in MLV_VIDEO,  IN RAW_VIDEO - everything is ok.

it's called CRASH. There should be LOG file on your SD card.

Does anybody know why crop layout disappear when hitting the record button in mode RAW_VIDEO(MLV) ?
However, in RAW_VIDEO (not MLV) I can see the layouts and focus peaking "stars" during recording.

If you describe how you were installing ML (step-by-step) - maybe somebody will help you out here.  Your statement "just does not work" wouldn't find many responses.

As far as I know  (could be mistaken) there's no stable ML version  for 5DIII (yet).
So, I guess it's not a good idea to use alpha/betta/gamma test versions for your professional work.

sorry, I was not aware of this form of reporting bugs. Unfortunately I deleted the logs.

just tested 04-22-2014  1.2.3 and it crashed. reverted to 04-16-2014

I took a quick look at most recent build  for 5DIII 1.2.3 (2014-04-22) and noticed 'UNDO' step.
Does it mean 'no update' to 2014-04-16 version?

I manage to download a new nightly at least once a week for 5D III 1.2.3 is that not up to par with the aggressive schedule you've set for the Devs of a free software? 

looks like the 1.2.3 firmware development process has not been very active recently....
