well yeah thanks guys a lot for the answers!!! i did a few tests yesterday.. so the first BUILD magiclantern-v2.3.NEXT.2014Feb04.5D3123... in both of them i just tried RAW_REC and MLV_REC.... with the raw rec the max MB i get is 98... nothing more. MLV the SD is giving me 19mb but the CF comes out 50mb... not as power... it would be really nice if it could pump the 100MB CF to add the 20MB from the SD. The newer build i tested (magiclantern-v2.3.NEXT.2014Feb11.5D3123) didn't work. i dont know why, everythime i press record in RAW mode or MLV more the recording doesn't start....

raw_rec and mlv_modules

that happened to me at some point... try to use a different workflow... import your DNG files as a sequence into AFTER EFFECTS, create a new composition and render comp as Prores4444. hope it works.

i cant find any proper way of getting ML working with 1.2.3... i really appreciate if someone could help me... it seems faster with 1.2.3 and i need to get 30fps continuous working for a project. super thanks!

alright now i got 98MB.... not continuous 30fps yet... but now went from 15 seconds to 30 seconds recording.... do you think it can be faster if i go to firmware 1.2.3 ? thanks a1ex!!!!

i did a lot of testing.... MLV is not sustaining high bit rate anymore... don't know why. I have all set properly but i cant get 30fps continuous.... ---- i have a komputerbay 1000x 64gb. Using RAW_REC it stays around 99MB all time nothing more... using MLV the SD gets 17.2mb all time but CF stays around 50MB 60MB nothing more.. any idea?

raw_rec is faster than MLV? im gonna try that.. im on KOMPUTERBAY 64gb 1000x as well... but im on firmware 1.1.3..

also any idea about the green frame?

hello guys.. im just testing the new build (13/02/2014) on my mk3... im not getting any pink frames at all... but i've noticed that i cant get faster recording speed like some other older builds... 24fps is fine in 1920x1080 - continuous ... 30fps gives me only 500 frames... i used to get continuous shooting with other builds.. same normal configuration.... any ideas? im with card spanning on and all the hacks ON... also when i open the image in ACR it comes all green (corrected when i press auto white balance), note: the same file in davinci comes fine not greenish.

any idea?

im using Komputerbay Cards 64gb with no problem recording full hd in both mark 2 and 3! i guess its the most reliable card out there! You can't go wrong with that one. NOTE : THE 64gb KOMPUTERBAY seems to be faster than the 32gb or 128gb

just tested new a.d laboratory build... work like a charm and i pushed a little bit this time. i tried some 30fps shots and work as good as 24fps but with the buffer limitation [200frames in 16:9 18526x1040 1880 off small hacks ON] . I also tested in 24fps with 1880 ON and OFF and both are framing perfect! To be honest i prefer using 1880 ON so i get all my shots 1876x1054 in both 1x mode or 3x mode. Awesome JOB guys... this thing keeps getting better and better!

it's not possible just to keep it in 1872 ? So it would be nice to get same aspect 1872 in normal crop and 3x crop mode... im running a.d's builds and i get no corruption frames, bad pixels or anything even without the greyscale. It freaks me black and white when i press rec kkkkk at this point all RAW thing have changed a lot the whole industry and even my business saving me some money on new equipment. So guys this is the future and all you dev's made this happen! You all should be super proud and all i have to do is spread the word and thank all you guys! keep on ROCKING !

BTW, can't find the way to open more than 4 gig files.  Read it a long time ago but forgot where it was.  Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Just a question: when I shoot at 3x the frame rate (displayed in the top right corner of the LV) automatically changes from 23,976 to 29,667... why? Is this the reason why I have to use fps override?

yes.. that's right... and its good to have fps override ON so you get same frame rate all the time!

All you people with 5d3s, PLEASE post some examples! I don't understand why everybody keeps posting their crappy 24p tests but I think I've seen only one video shot in 50p RAW (something on a beach but I can't find it anymore). This seems to be a huge improvement in sharpness over the h264 720p. The 50p quality kinda is a decision maker for me to get a 5d3, if I buy one first thing I'll do is post many many example videos ;-)

new build 27/06 amazing!@@ super speed i have just one problem!!! i always have the fps override 24 ON but some files seems to come out with 29.97 in 5x and 29.973 in 1x.... at least is what raw2dng or RAWMagic tells me sometimes... NOT ALL FILES COME LIKE THAT its random. Any ideas ?

edit: ok shooting more videos it seems to get stable 24 frames.... pretty strange anyway KIIILLLLING IT guysss

I can't manage to get higher than 58mbs write speed using my 32gb Lexar 1000x on my 5d2.

I have the instructed camera settings, and global draw turned off.. Am I doing something wrong, or do I have a bad card?

you hack is amazing!!!! the new build is pretty good too. My only request would be not having GREYSCALE in 5x crop ... We can have the image with color when recording in 5x crop ??

edit: im also testing frame rates.. and i usually record in 1x and 5x with both fps override ON to get smooth 24fps. But in 1x when i turn fps ON the frame rate comes out 29.997 pretty weird .... AND STILL GETTING PINK IMAGES RECORDING 5x 2.1.

with the 19/06 build i get PINK IMAGES when shooting 1880x950 on 5x crop... also it gets black and white! To me i still prefer a color viewer..... thanks guys! i stick with build 10/06 still!!!
