This is what the ML menus look like with Auto Mirroring turned on and the screen flipped out to "selfie" mode. Canon menus don't flip with or without ML loaded.

it is the same with mine but face tracking in selfie mode is working flawless now after turning on the auto mirroring and urning off the small hack

i got face tracking working in selfie mode

with ML loaded the screen doesn't switch to mirror display when in "selfie mode."

auto mirroring is set to dont allow by default. it needs to b changed to allow and wala

i have been doing the test in selfie mode and here is the result. no problem without ML
it seems to work well so far if it is not in selfie mode

Does turning off small hacks help?

i can turn off small hacks only after activating mlv lite. face tracking dont work well with this new build even if i don activate anything

good news for 70d users. did a short test. face tracking stil doesnt work well with this build. face tracking dont work as soon as i turn on my camera after installing this build. its like any other previous build when it comes to face tracking.

with the nightly build everything seems to work well until i hit record button. as soon as i hit the record button, face tracking freeze

i can record a video and share if anyone needs what i mean

edit: i did the nightly build test some months agao and  hadnt done the nightly build test properly since a friend was using my cam. i wil do more test as i have got my camera back and report

one good news for 70D with the latest build ie 24Dec18 build. i dont have face tracking problem anymore which i used to have with older builds. there are other improvements as well. i wil do more test and try to share

70D is a good camera, much better in low light than other apsc cameras but i wil not recommend you to buy 70d for using magic lantern. it doesnt work well yet like other cameras. im planing to sell my 70d n switch to some other camera

Would it be possible to implement a LUT intensity slider sometime?

forget fast cdng as it is not for everyone. we need nvidia 6*** series to use fast cdng. it is totally useless for others who dont have nvidia 6 series

if you do mainly photography, i cant say much coz i don't do photography and i have no knowledge about photography. but when it comes to videography 70D is a hero. others are all kids when it comes to auto focus, lowlights etc. i had use 550D and 650D in the past and they all are kids when u compare with 70D. 70d is a semi professional camera whereas other cameras like 650D/700D are just consumer camera.
if you can't live without ML, 70d may not be your choice. now 70D is my fav camera and i wont be upgrading until i can buy a used 5D mark 3.

u mean you cant play back on your computer? which player do you use?

#shinoda  activate crop_rec, raw, mlv, sd_uhs etc. after you restart your camera, dont turn on the raw. if you do so, your camera wil freeze .turn on only the mlv.
i have another build by Danne. i have no problem turning on the raw with that build

#khaja84 which part of india are you from? i am in delhi atm. i got a used bmpcc few years back for pretty good price but i sold it out after  few months and keep my canon 650D. for me i dont like the camera espicially the crop factor and i didnt have any good lenses

I hav a 5 year old 2nd gen i7 laptop wit 2gb nvidia graphic card. The playback is pretty smooth. I would suggest you to go for nvidia graphic card if u are into premiere pro and davinci resolve. there is an option in premiere pro cc to choose between GPU Accelarated and CPU only. if you turn off the gpu, palyback wil b choppy or not smooth. my old 2gb nvidia graphic card helps a lot. i can even playback cdng smoothly and mlvfs doest the job so i don even have to convert to any other format to edit in premiere pro

without the hack your camera can write only 40mbs/s. with the uhs hack your camera can write 60 mbs/s which makes it possible to shoot hgher resolution

U can shoot at much higer resolution wit the uhs hack

for me higher resolutoin is not priority as i can scale up using after effects but a clean good raw image is the top priority

#IDA_ML    evrything looks good and very impressive accept the focus dots. my 70D get lots of moire and color artifacts which is not the case with other cameras like 550D and 650D which i had own in the past and sold out to get a 70D to shoot better raw. but 70D is the worse camera for shooting raw. my 70D can't shoot any tress bcoz of color artifacts. i have unsinstall ML from my 70D few months back. now i think i should get a used 100D as i love shooting raw

sometimes I do and I go crazy with the artifacts in post ) and most of them will be away with our new filter (flickering trees, color artifacts in water and on the boats, ...):

#fjodor don't be hopefull for lossless in a 70D. development for 70D is very slow and there are no good programers who can help with this camera. time to switch your camera if you want lossless. i have unsinstall ML from my 70D some months back and i wil also be switching to some other camera as soon as i can buy another camera
