This happend when recording to a 16gb card, for more than 4gb pr file.
So when going bigger than 4gb, I got one RAW file of 3.99gb and another R00 file of whatever that was above 3.99gb.
When dropping the 3.99 RAW on raw2dng, it extracts the dng's OK.

I guess I can not  extract the R00 file with the raw2dng, but when i tried anyway, this is when this pinkyframes cam along.
The raw2dng does the convertion, and gives a folder of this pink frames.
And if I join the two files, it is also a no go.

No picture at all, just scramble. Can I post a pic directly to this thread, or do I need to upload elsewhere and make a link?

Hi,

No it does not look like that. You can only see a lot of hizz, noise, dots, scramble..no figures or forms. Just noise.
After joining files, R00 and Raw file. I drop it on the raw2dng.exe and dng's are made. Them all my DNG's then look like pink noise.

Would you know why the dng's turn all pink and distorted after joining the files?
#32
Hi,

I tried the join files program, BUT, I only get pinkish frames!
Really distorted, pink pixels.

I read somewhere that the files need to be changed, header I believe it was called.
But I do not know what this is.

If anyone want to give it a try explaining, I am thankfull.
If not, I'll just keep trying =)

Cheers!

with the Magic Lantern team who I imagine do this for the for the same reasons we do.

As in sharing info for free so more people can contribute to develop? Like they (ML-team) do;-)

Don't use it, and don't blame me for the bugs introduced by others.

Thank you for donating your time, Alex.
It is very generous of you! Don't waste your energy on all the "what about" people, and the growing crowd of people demanding their bug free ML software NOW!! They are impatience and unfortunatly have forgotten the skills of manners! (and some even the art of reading)

Thanks again, to all of you devs;-)

I tried the Lexar 64gb 1000 x rated at "up to 150" read and "up to 145" write.

*CrystalDiskMark test gave 120 read and 103 write.
*In ML 1920 x 1080 Raw record it is at 82-83.
But when trying to do 1920 x 1280 I still only get 82-83..

Sugestions?

I just tested the Sandisk Extreme Pro 32 gb rated at 90m/s

*A quick CrystalDiskMark test gave me a number of 92 Read and 85 write speed
*In ML 1920 x 1080 Raw record it won't go higer than 82-83.

Then I tried the Lexar 64gb 1000 x rated at "up to 150" read and "up to 145" write.

*Same CrystalDiskMark test gave 120 read and 103 write.
*In ML 1920 x 1080 Raw record it is the same at 82-83.
But when trying to do 1920 x 1280 I still only get 82-83..

Dont needed.  That is special function PicoC that is currently disabled.  Maybe you can download any of the nightly builds, get the scripts dir that is missing and put in inside ML.

That is what I did, and script "warning" was gone!! ;)

Hm, never done this before, so please, a step by step what to do!? =) hehe
Just unzip the folder and smack it on the SD card?
Or should the card be prepared in a way? Do I get to choose the ML on start up, or..

Aaah, so many questions, so many many possibilities!
Life is overwhelming now that ML on 5D mark III surfaced.

Or, might just be me, the technoobfool;-)
