I don't know, it doesn't show any different results to me. I still get pink images importing the CDNG's directly to Premiere.
Get they eyeframe converter and then just import the tiffs. Premeir Pro can support 16bit tiffs and they look great.

Yes it works. Super quickly as well. Right at 30 it will  pause for maybe a second tops.

I only recorded for 31 minutes and some change. I'm on your most recent build and I will try for longer right now. Will post results soon. Even when my card is formatted exfat the footage is broken up into 4gb chunks. Do you have a similar experience?

Tragic Lantern / 30 minute limit on 6d
January 06, 2014, 12:36:24 AM
Has the thirty minute limit been beaten on the 6d? I just recorded for more than 30 minutes continuously and when I took it into PP there was no lapse. :o

I'm not sure what happened, but maybe it was just a fluke... when I first installed it and opened a previous project that I had tested RAW clips with, it looked a lot better and I was able to adjust the levels and get a nice image out of it.  After I closed the program and reopened it, it was all pink again.

WTF, Adobe?
You're not the only one. That happens to me all of the time.

Have you had any takers on this?

If not, and if you're planning to get rid of it anyway, would you post to Australia?
(At my expense of course, depending how much it cost).

I'd probably do a tear down of it to start with, there are 550D tear downs but none that are really satisfactory.
No takers. What would a tear down accomplish. Email me at [email protected]

I see all kinds of strange artefacts in the clips? Is it youtubeconversion or the converter? Which version are you using?
Are you referring to the vertical banding?

Like a wise man once said:
Your images don't have to be as clean the bedroom of somebody with OCD. The story conveyed, the mood evoked, is what really matters.

Raw Video Postprocessing / Re: The CinemaDNG Discussion

How long would it take to incorporate an option to create a proxy video? That would be awesome, and maybe you and the developer of rawanizer could exchange code.

@chmee
Love the Lut you made to help combat the problem (Seen on page 13). I think it would be really helpful to put that on the First post  for people looking.

1.40 crashes for me when I press convert...I'm on windows 7 x64.

Also - where are we in the progress of getting Premiere to natively see cDNG without the magenta/pink hue?

I'd looking into getting a Neutral Density Filter. It will allow you to lengthen your exposures, and will make the water look a lot smoother.

I have tried the grayscale preview mode, but the image doesn't expand to fill the LCD and it introduces some crazy flickering.
Is there crazy flickering during the recording though?

What if you could record to an atomos ninja at a different ISO while simultaneously recording h.264?  :o

Well my 550d would be a prime camera to experiment on.
#92
I had to move around metal parts. that held the shutter, but yeah it works. And yes just the 550d, batteries, and cap. Video quality is the same.
#93
Hello, I have a 550d that I am willing to donate to Magic Lantern. It does not work in photo mode (There was a shutter error so I ripped it out  >:() It shoots Liveview perfectly though. I live in the US (Oregon), and would take paypal for shipping. I thought the Dual ISO H.264 would be an awesome thing to work on it with, but it is ultimately up to the DEV. If more than one dev wants it I will let you sort it out.
Hope this helps,

I believe that tits are no longer appreciated by men. Just an opinion.
I don't think there is a way to make this point more effectively. I applaud your methods.

Feature Requests / Re: $300 offered to developer

@hjfilmspeed
I bet there are people who have made much worse mistakes than you have and are still shooting RAW video. Maybe their experience is the key to this issue, and how much a 5d can take.

I am familiar with group of developers who can make the device that the flow of video was written down on SSD. but in their opinion this device will have a small demand. the cost of development is in limits of 20-30 thousand dollars. May we arrange vote to learn real need for such device?
Start a poll!

Use raw2cdng. Choose 10 bit log. You lose a lot, but you got to do what you got to do sometimes. Hope that helped.
