I'm looking for a way to do HDR video with native to adobe premeire and after FX CS6 tools.  I found a tutorial video on vimeo that went through it.. but I couldnt get it to work.  The video also went through other 3rd party software plugins but i'd like to do it all internally with shipped plugins if possible.

Thanks!

I was mistaken on the card i had. I have a Sandisk extreme pro 30mb/sec. when i put it to 1.3 i get a meter looking thing ont he right that has 4 or 5 notches.  one notch lights up and stays on. It will continually shoot this way, what does the meter mean?  would it be better to use the Qscale mode instead?

Are they implementing angood auto max iso for video mode? Sometimes for run and gun or concerts auto iso is nice but i dont want it going over 1250to or 1600the on my t3i.

Is there a list anywhere of cards people are using to get the double bitrate?  I'd be interested in seeing a list of SDHC/SDXC and CF cards that have been confirmed to work consistently at certain bitrate settings.

I have a Sandisk Extreme 45mb SDHC card.  I wonder if I can do the double bitrate on my T3i.  Also, was taht test done with a 5d or a T2i/T3i?

What is the advantage of upping the bit rate like this?

yeah.. for $1300 the Tamron 24-70 f2.8 with IS seems REALLY tempting.  I do a lot of hand held shooting... almost all of my shooting actually. With that lens on my T3i it would be like having a 40-115 f2.8 with IS on a 5d in terms of viewing angle.

I've heard mixed reviews on the 24-105L about not being a consistent lens... meaning if you have 3 of them each one will look different.  And also that its not very sharp for what it is.  Unless I could get a 24-105L for like $400-500 i'd probably rather the 24-70

I'm trying to plan out my next purchase. Im looking for a sharp lens that is a zoom. I've been looking at the Tamron 24-70 with VC(aka IS)to help out with run and gun type shooting. I do mostly concert/take away show shooting but would like to venture into short film work.

Here is what I have:

Canon T3i wth ML
Sandisk 32gb class 10
Rode video mic
Basic 72inch tripod with pistol grip and quick release.

Canon Lenses
Canon 18-55 II IS
Canon 50mm f1.4

Vintage Nikkor full manual lenses
24mm f2.8
35mm f2
50mm f2
105mm f2.5

Any advice would be great. I don't have mo eyes right now to buy something. This will be a "save up to buy the right thing" purchase. :-)

Thanks!

Oh. I'm new to ML. Only been here since 2.2.

I guess that answers that. Lol

Feature Requests / Re: Movie autofocus like t4i

Hmm... maybe have it work like track focus + follow focus ability.

User controlled
Press focus in one direction with variable speeds.
Focus stops when highest focus/edge sharpness is achieved in the box.

Now that one of these cameras has a movie auto focus ability is it possible to port the ability over to other models? And to allow normal lenses instead of the STM lenses?

I'm not a Dev. I was just wondering if its on anyone's radar for future projects.

I would think there would be a way to lock shutter, aperture, ISO, and WB and have the camera search for focus.
