So, you are shooting with a RED but you don't want to spend $100 on a Zoom H1 recorder?

There is no 12 minute limit.

I am investigating registers around this value.
c0f079xx seems interesting too.

So, do you reckon there is more around C0F14140 that could be found?
I think 1% builds for the 6D include Digic Poke so i would be fine with finding the addresses.

Gday.

A word of warning here.
I took the memory card out of my 6d to update ML on my memory cards and went to watch a movie.
Two hours later, after watching a movie, and updating the ML on the cards I come back to my camera.

I notice it's a bit hot.
I note that the on/off switch is at off.
The camera won't boot when I go to on.
i go off/on/off/on ... no boot.

I put a memory card in and go off/on and it goes on.
I check the battery level, and its got one battery at 20% and the other at 7%. When I went to watch a movie it was at 20% and 100% !! (i had a Meike grip on it)

I think that the 6d has the same problem as the 50d where you have to wait for the card busy light to stop flashing after you open the lid and before you remove the memory card.

boo. *off to charge my camera again.
What do you think the led flashes for?

I think you don't understand what the project is all about and why we got all these warnings scattered around.

Hi,

Was random surfing and found this post. Tried the stuff you both discussed. This is cool. Quick question. How do I get a fps rate of more than 31.5 from the camera. I was able to go down below 30fps easy but wanted to the opposite to go to 4000(maybe to 8000fps ).
I got it working at over 9000!

Will this influence SD based models as well?
I read somewhere that the SD controller in the 6D is capable of 50MB/s but it only delivers 40-41MB/s.

I am pretty sure ML goes against Canon's marketing vision but we're lucky because, as far as i understand, there is nothing they can do to stop it.
The way i look at the whole thing is that ML might not make any difference for first buyers or professional users(not sure about the second one anymore) but it makes a hell of a difference to enthusiasts and power users. I guess some people have not switched to Nikon once they saw what ML(and therefore their Canon DSLRs)were capable of. So, in a way, ML has helped Canon to sell more products and has convinced people not to switch to other brands as much as possible.

Yes but apparently Canon doesn't even care about the bootflag.

Photomatix is something else, if you want true extended dynamic range you should use Enfuse(as a plugin for LR) to add up the exposures.
#93
What do you mean?
#94
My CF cards are quite slow anyway, 50D is the camera i want to sell amongst the 3.
#95
So, i take it this is for the 5DIII only.

But then you have to deinterlace it which will lead to half the resolution again, right?

What about video mode? I mean, if ISO is alternated every 2 lines doesn't it follow Canon line skipping or what? I thought we would have the same aliasing in video mode because the line skipping and the alternation match but i might be wrong.
#100
Which ISO did you set in camera and which in ML menu?
