for example choose ISO 200 and lower the ML gain to -0.3EV and you will get green ISO 160

and after that you can switch through the iso in steps of 160, 320, ... i think it's pretty handy this way

after exporting from after effects windows media player and company display my footage too bright. after uploading it to youtube it looks correct again. i don't know what youtube does for converting but you might take a look if youtube applies another gamma. i noticed that at 720p and 1080p the gamma is being lowered (image is brighter in dark spots (maybe rec. 709)) compared to the other formats but that would be the opposite of your problem

No everything is okay. You can't get green ISO at 25000

Auto ISO and M mode contradict each other. Why don't you just choose another mode?
And if you choose ISO 25000 it's no wonder that it won't show up as green. It's full of noise and pumped up digital gain. for example choose ISO 200 and lower the ML gain to -0.3EV and you will get green ISO 160

I don't like the arc style because i can't turn it by 360°

like the error said: send it to the 19ligths support. maybe they can help. and i it solves the problem you might post the solution here :)

you mean the files at the beginning? it's just the raw HDR movie files you recorded in the camera. if you hit record in the camera you will get .mov files saved onto your SD card. if he had for example 5 .mov files in his directory he would get 5 .gnr files out of it

The other thing to remember is that only the red channel seems to be badly effected by clipping.

If the highlights turn pink that means the green channel is being affected. The green channel seems to clip earlier than red and blue. I don't know why but maybe because in the light's spectrum green is more intense than red and blue.
#36
sure, but that's how all ISO values behave. i don't know what you want to say. if something with the exposure value is different than it's going to be in the highlights
#37
That's cool! I really like your design iamtehlolrus. The only thing that bugs me is that the green line is only at the bottom. Sometimes asymmetrical things just drive me crazy :D
#38
You really get more details in the highlights which are normally clipped. you can see that the whites are getting more pink. that's because not all colors clip at the same intensity and that's what ML uses as an advantage

you should read the maual

If you're aiming at video definitely the 600D

Novosibirets what font did you use for your images?
#42
I really like this idea :)

The guys at 19Lights programmed a new cool method for dealing with real 32-bit HDR footage in After Effects and Premiere. It's a nice idea in my opinion because you don't need to render out .exr sequences anymore if you don't want to.

Sure, the 1D-C shoots 4k but cost over $13k.
yeah and it's even worse that it propably only records in 8-bit

the kids are having a good time moshing around :D

the chosen kind of music is a bit unusual :D sounds like job for a cowboy
#47
You need the software "Enfuse" for the script to work. I am using EnfuseGUI
#48
The newest version v2.3
The feature set is almost identical on all cameras so just go ahead and install it.

Since you're shooting a lot of HDR you should check out "Ginger HDR" if you haven't already.

General Help Q&A / Re: Burned by bitrate I think
July 26, 2012, 02:29:35 AM
I wonder why you even experimented with the settings on your first major shoot  :o
1.0 is fine for most cases. But of course you can change the bitrate to your liking. Just test the bitrates. That should be the best solution
