thx

@mothaibaphoto
It transcodes (00-10) 11 Pictures on my PC. There were ~360 Frames in this MLV and the 12. is not complete i assume. So the problem you have is the flickering, right?

a file that's not trancoded properly with my tool (lost frames). i didnt had this bug with my recordings.

@all
could someone give me a mlv with the "dropped-frames"-symptom? dropbox or google or onedrive? mail me: raw2cdng[at]phreekz.de

@kharak
santa claus will tell you on 24. :)

@nlhenry
thanks for info

@ibrahim
raw2cdng cant correct "corrupt" frames. but 1.7.4 has a bug, that frames doesnt exist - it wasnt there in versions until 1.6.5

what is the question? Where do you want to increase datarate?
* h264? Canon gave All-I, the benefits over IPB are more in editing than in "better" output. and higher bitrates didnt gave better results but more problems, the internal processing is already on its limits.
* raw? thats "maximum warp" in terms of quality.
* banding is more a limitation of 8bit/channel, not of datarate. you can cause banding (fi) in photoshop very easy (fi grey-gradients).

Take another older Version. 1.6.1 someone said has better audiosync for resolve, 1.6.5 is an often used version with the old io-code. after that i made massive improvements on conversion-speed but couldnt find the missing-frames-bug. so i will do this step to find some bugs and release a last version. but please, be gentle and patient :)

ah? ok. thanks for info. will hunt/collect those bugs for a final version..

please send me an mlv/raw-example to [email protected]. shorten the file with mlvdiag. i just need at least one functional frame in a raw/mlv-container..

@greg
[dual iso] from my tests the detail loss on +2ELV is neglible, but visible with +3elv. dont use 100/1600, but ie 100/800. and picture stacking has its own limitations, so i dont really see the benefits of your code.. my(!) main benefit for dual-iso is photographing dynamic motives, therefore stacking cant help.

@kharak thanks for these infos. it turns into a player, if you drop a file on the app icon or you "open with.."/associate the file-endings (mlv and raw) with raw2cdng. regarding your "publisher"-window, look here, maybe that helps:

sorry once again i stopped patching raw2cdng. i just had a lot to do and i doubt, i'll find more time for the project. i dont know how many guys are still using raw2cdng :)

@andy_kh :) you're welcome. yes, thats built in since (i think) 1.6.0.

Press Keys:
O - Original Whitebalance
P - Preset Balances
Right/Left Key - change CT manualy
Up/Down - change GM-Shift
Q - change Quality
X or ESC = Exit

You can use raw2cdng as Standard App if doubleclicking .raw or .mlv. (open with..)

(*) does other Converter give you the ability for automatic lens-corrections? you can set it manually.
(*) Speedgrade needs manual adjustments. often discussed here, with examples.
Quote..[edit half a year later] speedgrade needs a color-lut/color-matrix to work accordingly with raw-files..
in raw2cdng 1.4.8 (zip) is an example - .look - file....

Sorry for my absence - as you see i couldnt find any time for the converter - and there's just this one big bug with lost frames while convertion. next time i will embed raw-convertion from xiaomi yi cams as a sidestep..

@Jay429
often its a problem with the filenaming and/or the path-names. did you tried without special or country specific characters (and no whitespaces)?

hot pixel in r and b are corrected with chroma smooting 2x2. yes, this is inside.

so far this was the simplest way to get "good" (not perfect) body-data. dont forget, you can't count on body-measured data as well, it can differ from cutters opinion of "good" colors.

@auximausi (both videos you uploaded)
technically no critique - really good work. i like all story-telling-scenes as well - but these indoor studio-set recording - much to clean, much too boring-tv-standard. i m an oldschool metalhead, carcass, obituary, sepultura. i can feel the stomp and punch of the songs but i cant see it.. (ok, i dont like those melodic-singsang in the chori, but thats not the point. its 2015 and i hang in beginning-mid-90s) :)

@jankrueck
let raw2cdng write the according whitebalance-data into the dng's.
(*) i assume all but AWB will work.
(*) in the beginning there was the way to shot a CR2 and name it like the raw/mlv-file. raw2cdng takes the whitebalance-data from this cr2 and put it into the dng. i didnt tested it the last versions :)

but finally all was said - the raw-data are nearly untouched - in simple 16 bit the least. its up to you and your app to get out most of it. the metadata inside dng are the slightest problem..

Quote..What absolutely ruins films that I watch one Televisions, for me, is the implemented "truemotion", "Flowmotion" or whatever name these TV producers call it..
by 99.99% its not the tv-station. its your tv and/or the player!

whats the framerate in cinema? on film-projectors?
