do you mean it need to bee on one line to work? I'll update the package if so.

I've also tried to save those file (ML2.3_icon.ico, .VolumeIcon-icns and autorun.ini) when formatting card in camera like it's for other ML files.
For mac that will not work since the file will change name after restoring (it's more than 8.3 digits). For windows maybe it will works but not tested.

i was like to use the 256x256 ico...

first i done steps from txt.. and everything was fine but after renaming i need to rename it in autorun to ..
first i left it with no rename ( on autorun ) ..everything still was ok but program jsut faild in finding file named .VolumesIcon
. i can rename both.. ico file and autorun ( inside ) but  i just replace files and rename only autorun and i stay with old name with out tricky Doty

now i got  :

[Autorun]icon=ML2.3_icon.ico
and i copy on card file with same name   ML2.3_icon.ico

on card i got all in one line but when i Past it here it coming in two lines ..weird..
but on card i got in one line

i just  add to ico name Dot ..i add in same place dot in autorun ...but .
it not works in this way.. i got now blank ico after i add Dot..
i got all files visible..no hided stuff on my os..

so version with dot not work here .

i just back to previous version...
i just copy your autorun and ML2.3_icon.ico with no changing in autorun and it work just Perfect now

after card formating autorun stay on card but ico file is deleted..and version with dot not work for me  ..
maybe ucan add ML2.3_icon.ico to ML files ?

a1ex sayd its not fully save..
if i understand  it good it mean viruses like to use autorun`s to    just runing around pc..
and agiain..if i understand  it good maybe its good to set autorun for ReadyOnly ? so in this way no viruses will add some weird stuff to autorun.

i just make another test..

i load all files ( auto run and ML2.3_icon.ico )  and everthing is ok..
later i format card in side canon..
Files are not deleted ( autorun and ML2.3_icon.ico ) only renamed to this :

after formating i put card into card reader and still i can see Icon in my computer..but i click on card and i go inside ,,second later i back to my computer and icon place is Blank..

i was try rename what ~ to _  and i add on end .ico liek in original file.. but ..something weird happend..
file was not renamed only in some weird way anoter file was created with name changes what i just done .

later i  replace autorun with this one what have BIG letters and i add ico file.. this not change nothing ..still blank icon..
but.. after this i deleted  autorun and ico file and ICO (in MY computer )come back O_o ,, after F5 it switch to original OS icon..

so.. i can format card with ico file and autorun .but in some reason after formating in canon files are renamed and they got soem lol new ~ stuff..and they are BIG letters ( capital ? ) ..
Files are not formated what can mean good or bad ..not sure..but they not working propetly..
propadly its possible to fast fix it but ..more eazy way its DELETE autorun and ico later again format in Canon or ML software (but it works here with out extra formating )(what i not use yet ) and just add files again..and all works Grate

[Autorun]icon=ML2.3_icon.ico

Nikon d3200 got 3 digit .. i just thing why canon needs to have 5 on that camera,, if this realy make quality up..or its just for faster moving in Menue lol.. or  that  5 it must be only cus touche screan

Yes, I have tried doing a low level format on the camera and formatting it on my computer. Neither of which have worked

when uformating  memory card what u want to use in ur canon..and u make format with windows os or mac  use Deflaut Buffer size before u click FORMAT button..your card no0t responding cus u make bad format,. When u starting up camera it see that bad formated stuff in side and it make MOD ..
use next time

ML Format program ( duck on icon or some lol bird ) .,., but if it looks to `complicated` use Deflaut Buffer Size Format for format ur cad in reader in pc

Hi, the ring around our lens is a lens gear or follow focus gear. We use it for pulling focus while shooting video, but we leave it on the lens pretty much all the time.

i love to see how software make synhro from 5  audio sources recorded lets say on musci festival where all 5 recording devices are in diferente places :DD ..  software never replace human ear.

Hello. My 50D is dead. This is how it happened.

I managed to install ML and I was going through info screens on my camera's back display when my 50D suddenly turned itself off after few minutes. Battery sign was blinking on LCD top screen. I'm pretty sure I switched the camera off and then I took out the battery as I was afraid that some program loop might overheat my camera  and kill it.

Now 50D doesn't start up anymore. No lights, no response to any button presses. I found out things to do when camera is bricked:
-I took off lens, CF card, battery and small battery and also the lens. Then I put them back and tried to turn on the camera but nothing happened.
-I repeated previous steps and tried to power it up without CF card, but nothing happened
-I formatted the CF card and tried to start up my camera, but nothing happened.

Before I installed ML, I downgraded 50D firmware from 1.0.9 to 1.0.8 because http://magiclantern.wikia.com/wiki/Unified/Install   tells that ML works only with 1.0.8. After downgrading I got ERR 06 (sensor) every time I turned on the camera. Then I disabled automatic sensor cleaning. Then I tried installing ML without succes (not 100% sure  if I remember this correctly). Then I found out that I CAN use 1.0.9 firmware.  I se-install 1.0.9 back to my 50D, but sensor error ERR 06 was still there. I disabled it automatic sensor cleaning, and then I installed ML. Installation was success. I restarted the camera and started reading info screens and after few minutes my camera was dead

I believed the advertisement talk that "hundreds of professionals are usin ML and they have had no problems with it". I am a professional and I had my camera die...
Thank god it was not my 5D II!

u was try format memory card with ( i dont remember program name :/ )   that program what is needed to ML ?

some not long time ago i was made few tests and one another one i was have something similar..
i was thing camera just Die`d... but reason was only bad formated memory card..

i knwo it can sounds no sense but ..happend

im not professional..but .. i got  one critic cus i love Sound`s....u shoud l focus more on synhronization frames with audio.. but my opinion is not fovarded by any expirence here

i got some video tip for you  

u will love it .. do this step by step

1. set lens on lowest mm . lets say 18 mm
2. set focus on Manual
3.find object with some wide background
now importand
4. start moving slowly back and keep your object in center of view
5. in same moment when u moving back move focus slowly to more high values (lets say from 18mm to 55mm depend of lens u use ) and still keep ur main object in midle of screan
6. u will see some optical ilusion effect  ur main object will stay in focus but background .. u will see
7. u must synhronize ur moves with moving focus on lens and will be best if u keep all screan sharp



u can make all this in oposite way ..i mean lens..from 55 to 18 .. .just test it and  love it

50mb/s its importand Minimum for digital cameras and Video shoting... try invest in 95 mb/s in both ways ...
or WiFi Memory Card ...

I live in Ecuador in the country but there is some light pollution from Quito, and other smaller towns.

The stars were beautiful from 7 pm to 10 pm.  But some clouds to the west prevented good views of some constellations.  Was able to see very few meteors but nothing from Gemini, I think it was too low in the sky. 

Got up at 2 am but it was cloudy...

Will see again tonight..

yea u right.. iwas sean same stuff meteors more come from Orion Taurus and Auriga areas than  fomr Gemini..but still its Geminds Shower  and earth rotation can little disturb all thing..

try to waith till morning next time.. this night Moon will be on some 9% or something :DDD  so powerfull  moment for moon shoting..but after moon rise u will se on right Saturn later loweer Venus and little later Mercury...

i realy wish to get 11 lens of fisheye now..cus in same moment when those planets rise :DD Jupiter is in Set :DD.. wow..

The heat generated by the sensor and battery do increase the chance of condensation. There are some tricks, such as putting the entire camera in a sealed plastic zipper bag while indoors, then taking it outdoors and letting it adjust to temperature, then taking out of bag to avoid initial condensation. If it forming later, some people rubberband or gaffer tape chemical hand warmers to the lens to maintain a similar temp between camera body and lens.

hmm..there was little frost on low ground ..temperature around  0.. propadly 0 is not good..i was use  in Past  small 1000mm telescopes and this happend ..but in mirors in telescope was have some coool abilty to take al lthat vapor water out after some 1 or 5 miutes ..i was only need to move little  back..( body heat ) ...

first time i used  Blub Focus / Ramp fomr ML with Intervalometer ..

i ting i mess setings up so bad in blub/fR...i not change there muche  and i stay all on this values :

Blub/Focus Ramping
AutoExpoRamp   : Sunrize
MaxRampSpeed  : 0.005 EV/Shot
Man. ExpoRamp  : +0.005 EV/Shot
Man. FocusRamp : Off

i like these option to use in Single Shoting ( no timelapse ) but it looks like its PowerFull PRO tool inSide for making Timelapse where light changing but NOT Dynamic..only slow smoth gently changes..

movie for sure wil lpickup flickering ..im sure abotue  this cus i can see diference in all single frames where they go more bright but after few shots all exposure go down what makes shot more dark than that shot before...

its to sensitive on this values ,, shots are maked in City what can be another point of  my failer..
Place where i take shots are surounded by roads...aboute 200-300 metters around me .and cars make some lights flashing ..os maybe this is reason why sensor switching  exposures so not regular and make it jumps form low to high..
or maybe  i just use wrong values..i dont know..its my first use this option in timelapse..

i need to learn more abotue seting it up ..

one more thing aboute this ...
i was shot in RAW this time ( around 1000 shots )..so its good news ithing cus RAW is so flexible..

This is possible in somway Disable corections what Blub/Focus Ramping made while shoting and back to my setings what i was have selected before Blub/Focus Ramping start corecting ?

there is way to switch all ML setings to Deflaut ? ..so if i meake mess with some setings soem another option can bring back all Values to  ``Factory`` deflaut ?
or maybe there is way to make Prest with present setings on ML and save them lets say in Prest 1.
and lets say Prest 0 will bring back all setings to Deflaut ?

They look great! Better looking than my first few time lapses. Given the cloud movement, the shakiness might be just from the wind, if it was particularly gusty for a few moments.

i thing i just bought lame tripod for soupboxes cameras type  :/ ..
last night same..no wind and i got triple more shacking..so 4 hours again fail

but  i got  another problem..Lenss.. im not sure if this is low quality of tis one what i use ( regular 18.55 lens kit II )
or or.. well .. after some 40 minutes shoting stills vapor water stays on lenses :/ ,, weird cus i remember  my shots from my country where i use to shot analog with alot lenses..  20-400..all none zoom...and none of them take vapor water ..even i taked shots in -20 and i ..they never  take that vapor water when i was shoting outside..and here ?!! Digital and 40 minutes and lol vapor water ..

this is some characteristic of low quality lenss ? or maybe there is some liquid what can protect lenss against this lame vapor water ://

on my lens this circle thing is not so precise like i  remember in analog cameras .. i need double zoom to see if i got sharp thing..

I use  Intervalometer from Magic Lantern for make short TimeLaps from last night

its my  third timelaps with MagicLantern and third timelapse ever ..i can say its my one of first ...

i pick some weird shcking while shoting..its weird cus tripod was in stable place and i was stand far from it...

i got two explenations for this ..

first its :some blind bat or some small bird in darknes hit few times tripod
second its : i was have selected some option what i dont knwo abotue it  lol ..

i made small simulation of that tripod moves and i was need to make I had to execute a strong hand movement for make same jump...well its small details why shacking are :

Canon Rebel T3i (D600)

18-55 standard lenss kit on    18

4 second exposure

2500 iso

none auto setings..

I thing movie got to muche blue but this is City Aura :/ ..( shots maked in alomst city center ) :/

with this soft u can take shots and save them Stright on ur what ever  Device with Hdd what  have instaled Camera Remote Shoting..

u got this and more software on your CD disc`s  from canon ...

u can in this way choce way to save all still shots on HDD or Hdd and Memory Card or just Memory Card :

abotue Video..its not so simple ..but i thing its ...  i knwo how it can be done but im not programer so icant wright hack for it.
but its good to check few things... try to LIE firmware on Canon ..

Magic Lantern got soem cool feature for u ..

go to Movie setings and u will find there option  what is named :      Movie Restart  :  Off / ON

with this option u can record movies ( 30 minutes depend of camera ) and when 30 minutes recording will finish this Option  will start automaticly recording new file so u dont need to cary abooute pushing REC button again ..

u got in ML Movie Options future what will show u in LiveView info abotue  Time Remaning  ( 30 minutes ) or files size ( in my case my camera can recording  4 GB file or 30 minute movie ) ..after this ML automaticly start recording new file ..
