Just checked out the 664/0/p 7" and damn I'm pretty impressed.

May be worth the $$... Perhaps I'll just save up while waiting on the update for DSLRcontroller for iOS 8 (since it's only supported on iOS 7 atm)

@g3gg0 -- also I noticed when 'locked-up' frequently... I just decided to change the file format from MLV to DNG (which then worked fine) and switched back to MLV which seems to help get it working again.

May be related to shutter speeds being changed due to ETTR? Whenever I disable ETTR (always on) it would not 'lock up' as often as oppose to when having ETTR enabled.

Kind of a strange pattern that I thought it may be worth noting.

Thanks again!

*Feedbacks*

Hi -- I just wanted to confirm w you that once I convert MLV's into DNG's from your app... They won't be able to show in Previews (unlike how it can with MLVFS) could this be related to Yosemite OS X?

MLVFS:

Cr2hdr-r 1.4:

Are you still running on Mavericks on your Mac?

Thanks for your handwork on this, as always!

I've confirmed that @dmilligan's MLVFS does show previews of DNG's straight out of the box in Yosemite OS X... which is nice but I could swear that this was never an issue in Mavericks OS X when I could just basically open the DNG files from ANYWHERE and yet still be reviewable within the push of spacebar (or in Previews)...

MLVFS:

Regular DNG's (pre-converted):

I guess I'll just have to get used to using MLVFS (or waste more time using the Adobe DNG converter) and it's rather quite frustrating not being able to use the 'time saving routine' of checking through Previews easily before converting them.

Only because I'm such a wiener, so I apologize for that.

I second that -- good to know and thanks to @Andy600 & @baldavenger for refreshing this thread!

Gents-

Oddly as this may seem but after successfully copying these Four files (Thanks @g3gg0) and compiled them with the latest nightly (7D 2.0.3 Jan 15th) somehow made this to work.

However, per N/A's responds from earlier regarding the 'lock up' after when trying to take a FRSP w half shutter BEFORE using the Intervalometer module. <-- (I actually use the Adv. Intervalometer)

I even tried this same routine three times and it only locked up once out of these three attempts (not sure why though) but if you feel this isn't a good enough of a troubleshoot, pls tell me!

FYI -- I also tried using @dmilligan's latest update on his MLVFS which works quite well with MLV files created from the Intervalometer module.  ;)

Please let me know if I'm such a lazy @$$ and I'll see what more I can do with it...

Thanks again everyone!

@nikfreak -- Great news regarding FRSP for the 70D!
#2934
sure it is (depending on settings) always changing within that range is still pretty darn good for a cheap fast card as far as I'm concerned.

If you want more... try testing out the KB 256gb 1200x series?

I haven't so I can't speak for that.

correct me if I'm wrong.

Just tried it for the 3rd time to no avail.

So I am in fact one of the unlucky ones w the old ICU atm.

Purchased: Dec 2013 (USA)
Serial#: 0520 (in case you guys were wondering)

or not?

**assuming all is well with the current plug-in?

Thanks @g3gg0 & @N/A for the updates -- I definitely will copy these links for the 7D and try compiling them out this weekend since I'll be off from work, FINALLY!

I meant during recording... like take a snapshot of your 5D3 while recording either RAW or MLV... (hence Raw can push to higher MB/s than MLV)

For example: 5D3 (1.1.3) RAW Crop-Mode (HaCKeD preview) @ 30fps (FPS Override to 25p) -- This one is pushing @ 109.6 MB/s with a KB 128gb 1066x card...

Do you think mine card is just as bad as yours if not the same?

@beauchampy -- just ran into this thread and damn I'm impressed. It is in fact true that it pushes your creativeness when forced to use one lens.

Now I'm itching to sell my 50L 1.2 for the Sigma Art lenses...

Part of me sometimes gets sick of this particular lens but then there are times that I would need the 1.2 & it's bokeh!

Basically I'm torn between 35 & 50.... lol

@N/A -- Upon avail ... Any chance I can get a copy of your compile regarding FRSP for the 7D?

Thx!

As for me with the 70D that I have with the OLD ICU FW -- no success as of yet even tried to manually switch to playback mode or even take a picture and switch to playback mode to get it working.

All good I'll be happy to wait for the updated alpha...Thanks again to everyone!

@DigitalVeil & ShootMeAlready -- agreed it does seem shady of Canon to pull a stint to us early 70D owners...

However, I'll definitely try installing the alpha sometime this afternoon after work. If I don't get the blank black screen then I'll be happy to report bugs.

If in fact it does show black screen -- then I'll just have to wait for the next release.

Special thanks to @Nikfreak & KUDOS to @A1ex and the rest of the ML crew!

@rawvideo -- What's the highest MB/s  you can push on your 5D3 w the KB 128gb 1066x?
#2944
Ahh I see. All is well though and I don't mind using Terminal ATM.

Interesting point @baldavenger & @Andy600 as always thanks for the follow up on these important factors!
#2946
Whoooohoooooo thanks @Danne -- will definitely check it out!
#2947
@slasheal -- MLVFS is an amazing, remarkable app.. Please take a deep dive on the instructions before using it. It's rather quite easy, really.
#2948
Thx @Frank7D I still have the app. Now I'm that I'm 'told' ML supports it -- Will use it more to test out for bugs/etc...?!

(I doubt that it is, right @a1ex? anyway plus there are better options out there)

Nightlies are far more stabilized than what they used to be during their hey-days hence the reason why the good old so called 'stable build' has been 'offline' as of lately...

@dmilligan --Thanks for the enormous info regarding this particular requests... Definitely not worth fiddling with this due the points that @a1ex made earlier which I'm afraid it simply puts the foot on the floor!

CBR's can be a fun feature but is it really worth esp with the cons outweighing the pros?
