Let's give the guy a break😂. I spent so much time on my version. Porting should be done not in a rush. And why the hurry 😎.
Agreed. Less is more. Baby steps will eventually get us there.
Etiquette, expectations, entitlement...

...Currently I have 2TB in the NEXTODI. That will let me record longer then my batteries allow.

In the latest release (which could be downloaded from the site) you can find experimental version of defringe feature to suppress the consequences of chromatic aberrations. The feature still has some minor artifacts on the image borders, but it's working and pretty fast.

I'm using a MacBook Pro with Intel silicon (not M1), and I have tried this on macOS Monterey 12.1, and it doesn't work. I'm using the .app from the .zip in the link a couple posts above. I am also using the latest ML lua fix build on a 60D (magiclantern-lua_fix.2020Dec28.60D111) if that makes any difference.

According to the first joke from here, the problem is solved - you may consider I'm the mathematician

As far as I remember EOS-M was able to use the commented fps values too:

Anyone time to try it with sd overclock?

...other than the slightly better sensor, what are the other (if any) advantages it has over the 5d3, especially for video?

...with danne's wonderful work on the 5d3, it feels "finished"!

This is the first test video with my new old Canon EOS 5D Mark III. I am blown away by Danne's video modes, especially this 5.7K anamorphic mode which uses the full sensor width (big thank you, Danne!). This makes the footage look very cinematic!

Nice. Will check it out when I have the chance.
Ongoing code atm:
https://bitbucket.org/Dannephoto/magic-lantern_dannephoto_git/src/master/
I piggy back on a git account but still include hg commits working with my compiler tool:
https://bitbucket.org/Dannephoto/ml_compiler-git/src/master/
After commits I push all hg and code changes to the git account. It's all temporary. Bitbucket are deleting all mercurial sources. Bad move on their part.

A few fixes for Mlv_App_compiler.app in first post. Testing out a version for Catalina. To get openmp working we need both updated llvm and llvm@7 installed:
https://bitbucket.org/Dannephoto/mlv_app_compiler/commits/39cec5f9e58be00b2f7ff446045c8a850f406b5d
Download:
https://bitbucket.org/Dannephoto/mlv_app_compiler/downloads/mlv_app_compiler.dmg
If issues please try this in terminal then run the compiler again.brew install llvm
brew upgrade llvm

Anyone with good network connectivity, some hundred(s) of GiB of free space, able to run Bash scripts, recent Python (3.7+) and willing to leave their computer(s) running for the next two weeks? I'll provide a list of repos*) (divided among all participants, if that makes things easier) and download scripts. You will also need to keep an eye on the scripts, as Mercurial sometimes crashes or asks for usernames or whatever, but I'll try to sort it out.
