Did you make sure that you don't have both importer plugins in the after effects plugin folder? I think that might cause some conflicts.

I installed just how i did in premiere and im getting no issue in that

Anyway for you all to add a 'user cp' section to the forum? Some way that will allow people to subscribe to threads and we can go to the user cp and see which threads have new responses.
Also, the option to get an email to topics started would be nice.
It's kind of hard to remember which threads we've commented on and what and where we started topics. Would be convenient.

Ginger allows me to import the raw file directly in adobe premiere

But when I've tried importing raw files into after effects, it won't import. Any ideas?

It doesn't though. I believe that Lut buddy reads the cube files, but for some reason everytime I try and load this particular one, it still says "no lut loaded"

Does anyone here have a lut converter?
I'd really like the Lut in the post above mine, to be converted to be used in LUT Buddy for premiere

Can't remember  First try deleting everything on the card and remount it on your comp. If there isn't 16Gb available reformat the card.
It was quite a nasty bug, it somehow corrupted the file system and I lost some recordings and some of the ML files.

I mounted it to computer first. It did read that the card was a 16gb card. I went ahead and grabbed the files(not sure if they're ok as I haven't tested them). Then I deleted the contents on the card and placed back in cam. Seems to be recording ok now, but I haven't recorded 16GB worth of data just yet.

I had a similar ghost data issue with the June 6 build. I think switching between LV and photo mode triggered it but I couldn't repeat it.

That is probably what happened. I dont recall if I did the photo before or after.
How did you fix it? Reinstall ML?

Today, I recorded about 12gb(seperate clips to equal 12) on a 16gb card(formatted ExFat).
When I hit the record button again, I got about 30 frames before it stopped and stated something about not recording because the card was full. Then, without touching the camera for a minute or so, a message popped up saying "card 1 full"
I should have had another 4 gigs left. Thinking that maybe it was a mistake in how much space I had left, I tried moving a one gigabyte file over to the SD card(with file manager). Once I did that, my card still showed that it was full. The entire time, using canons normal menu, it showed that only 12GB was used on this card. Any idea of what this may have been? Using the ML nightly from the 14th

Does this mean that when I turn on raw video and set aspect ratio, when I turn off my camera and turn it back on, Raw video and the aspect ratio that I set before I turned it off should still be set???

Anyone know how to align the partition of a CF card in OSX?

When using raw2dng, after dragging my .raw files onto the app, Im getting 2 folders(jpg and dng) and they are BOTH EMPTY!
Im using the newest build of Magic Lantern

Latest version of raw2dng not working with the latest compile of ML
I drag the folder(or individual file) onto the app, it starts to process but only takes a fraction of a second for each raw. Creates both the dng and jpg folders, and they're both empty

Any update on this? I'd really like to make use of it.
Or is this one of those situations where it's just for show and you'd never like to actually put it out to the public?
I mean, it's cool and all, but if there's no willingness to put it out... What's the point?

If I were looking to create a 720p video, would I get better quality from shooting and editing it at 720p, or shooting and editing it at 1080p and then exporting it with adobe media encoder to 720p? Or would there not be a difference?

I notice how having a 5mp image from the start doesn't seem as clear as say a 10mp image that is exported to 5mp. Seems like it gets squeezed down therefore being cleaner

I'm not speaking on 1080, I only used the numbers as I don't recall the bigger ratios that ML raw allows.

today i tried a komputerbay 64GB 1000X (X0005E2NNV)
on 5D MarkIII formatted exfat
1920-1088 it records continuously, no skipping frames (global draw on)
Crop 3X gives no problems (it records continuously)
60 fps 1340-470 it records continuously

It Works similar like a Lexar 1000X 32GB (I still got it)

Where did you purchase? Also, are you in the United States?

I suspect it's not the custom mode itself but the other functions that get turned off when you enter the custom mode. If you have everything turned off then custom won't make any difference.

I've set it to custom, and I don't get any additional buffer stars, nor do I get a faster speed.
None of these 'tweaks' work for me, including changing the photo settings to sraw/jpg.
I'm using a 5d3 and everything remains constant. Even turning off global draw does nothing to improve my speeds.

Of course, if you have RAW video enabled, i.e. you can record raw...
go to live view, press the zoom button, press the trash button, enter the Raw video menu, scroll through the sizes...

No, I think you misunderstood me. I know how to get the crop recording, but even when I'm set up to record crop, it doesn't allow me the option to select the 2048. I'll continue playing around with it.

Is all this talk really worth it?  At the end of the day... the BMCC 4k does all that the 5D3 can do at only $400 more.

I've been testing my 5d3 raw files for a while now, and I love it.  But... without an additional processor to move the data, there will be no improvements to the write speed, and therefore nothing more than 1080p raw.

I personally don't own a BMC, I do own a 5d3. So as it stands, the BMCC would be a few thousand more.
The BMCC also doesn't take photos, my 5D3 does.
The BMCC does NOT have a full frame sensor my 5d3 does. I'm just saying
