I´ve got one question on my 5D2 and the Komputerbay 1000x 64GB card.
Here is my benchmark:

Since i got about 75MB/s writing speeds on 1880x1058 (and even in crop mode about 77MB/s) is my card good enough even with this benchmarks? ... since the camera speed limit is reached.
or should i replace this card?

Hello.
I´ve got the latest build (2013/09/20) installed and got a new Komputerbay 64GB 1000x card on my 5D2.
Here is the benchmark:

Not very exhilarating ...
(Why is there no chipset on it? Is this feature just for the 5D3?)

With 1880x1058 (24fps) i can get around 75MB/s with 1300 frames.
With 1728x972 (24fps) i can get around 75MB/s, at first it says "continuous" but than writing speeds are getting lower each second. (75.0MB/s ... 74.9MB/s ... 74.8MB/s ... ... even to 10MB/s)
Is this OK? Or should i send it back?

hello.
is it possible to make a selection between the prores versions (4444, 422 HQ, 422, LT) ... ?
(sorry if this was asked before; i was off for a while)

So. Now i know why i can´t record with 70mb/s...
I have the Komputerbay 128GB card. With the AJA System Test i can only get around 67mb/s in writing ... looks like komputerbay can´t keep the 1000x speeds like other cards.

Mine varies from 73MB/s to 76.4MB/s
Komputerbay 1000x 32gb

ok - than my low mb/s is caused by my 128gb komputerbay card...
with your exact same settings i can´t get more than 65mb/s

here is my screenshot:

no green text!

i can´t get more than 64,8mb/s with my komputerbay 1000x udma7 128gb card.
GD off. Small hacks on. ect.

Komputerbay 128GB 1000x UDMA7

Why is my write speed so low? Better with the 64GB CF card?

I have problems with my external SmallHD DP4 monitor. The recording preview frame is off ... In the camera it is on the right place.

ACR should have a little bit of color noise correction by default.  hot pixel is not a problem.

What do you mean by: "hot pixel is not a problem" ... For me that´s a problem

Hello.
Can anybody tell me how to remove hot / stuck / ... pixels with ACR (adobe camera raw) from our DNGs for video!?

Thank you

HA ! really interesting, in custum functions mode you get almost twice the buffer ! and now i get twice the number of frames at 1880x800
what is the "custum functions mode" and how do i enable it?

Yes, 1880 x 1058 would be 16:9. I would actually prefer to record 1880x1080 (which I've been doing) for a little more latitude in editing.

I can get about 12 seconds at 1880x1080 at 24fps. With 10 or 12-bit and some more optimizations, I can see 1880x1080 at 24fps being available for perpetual recording, but yes, the 5D Mark II is limited to around 65MB/sec by hardware, not CF speeds.

How do you record with 10 or 12 bit with the 5DMII?

Getting strange "green" spots with this / latest version...

This is a 100% crop from a 1600x900 video.

There is 15th and 16th of May (first port of this thread) all thow 16th of May has some regressions and you might get files that you can not convert. So I am back on the 15th May Build
I can`t wait for someone to compile a build of today for the 5dmk2, there are so many new cool features...
thank you, i´ll wait for todays builds!

Would be good to see when someone gets 1080 working how it compares to 5d3, I suppose the difference is aa filter?

All questions regarding RAW VIDEO POST PROCESSING on any OS
HERE

What would be really great: Something like nice workflow for proxy editing:
a) convert the raw to dng (allready here, called raw2dng)
b) ! in the same step as raw2dng make a proxy for editing (like mjpeg or even prores proxy)

so you can edit the files and reconnect them with the raw dng afterwards. like online/offline editing.

STOP

And this thread here should from now on just be used for video results, and open discussion.
NOT for any installation or processing help.

thanks.

(watch HD fullscreen - or download it)

I am here on a 5DMII with the latest 5d2.doublebuffer on a SanDisk 60Mb/s (terrible, but waiting for a faster card ... there are framedrops - maybe because the slow card).
Just to show you folks how awesome the AA Filter worx.
Best show: Download the file!
The video is not sharpened (RAW settings to 0) just quick adjustments on the highlights and shadows.
I´ve transcoded the file with x264 10.000kBit/s (very slow).

Nice work guys! Keep´em coming!  8)
